  1. the animal shelters are cruel, they put these dogs and cats in the cages; like prisoners without committed a crime. then charge some fees for an adoption, like selling a slave. humans are stinking sick

  2. I have been looking for a video addressing the subject of proper shots for a puppy, we have a puppy that was born October 11th 2017, he had some basic shots and worming when he was 8 weeks old, we got him in December. I am not so sure about some of the puppy shots they generally give, do you have a video on this subject?

  3. I had a cat that lived to be 21 who had diabetes but we followed the NIH feline diabetes group recommendations and went into remission and lived the last 8 years of his life diabetes-free. You might look up the group and see if you can help kitty lose weight and get healthy

  4. Hello great to see you adopted a kitty and a health challenged kitty at that!! He is beautiful and seems so sweet. Please tell people the dangers of dry cat food making our kitty sick that leads to an early death. Also I just discovered Bob Fords new dog food. Can you tell us what you think of it? Thanks

  5. I adopted a 5 month old female kitten. VERY social. When I come home she is by the door next to the dogs. I go to my room all three dogs follow and cat at the end. Lay in bed with dogs and she has to cuddle with them. She jumps on your shoulders or back if she wants attention. She does eat cat food. When I feed the dogs though she eats their food along side them. I feed my dog Earth born. Is it going to hurt her to eat the dog food?

  6. Very nice cat clearly he is happy with you all and you can deal with his needs. If the canned cat food is expensive you should really just consider raw, we have done raw with senior rescues and what a difference. We have been doing it now for over 6 years, we had a lab with no undercoat for 5 years and always cold and listless even with her hyperness and after 1 year raw and some cod liver oil we had a different dog, full undercoat and loves the snow, she lived to 14 and had previous health issues but despite the meds that were taxing on her heart she did not get hit with it until her final year and she still was a puppy at heart. our chi/pin also had loss of hair and loose teeth, initially he lost some teeth because he was too aggressive with eating but only lost the little ones he kept his fangs and molars and could rip apart a bone like it was no body' business. he was with us for 4 years and he grown his bald spots back and actually ended up with an undercoat that was so think I could hardly find his skin, except around his paws. Almost all of his skin issues disappeared, he died at age 15 with sever arthritis that settled in the last year with dementia, the last was our cairn who just past ate age 16, she had an inoperable bladder stone for most of her life, and she battled allergies but with the food change she rarely got ticks and never another case of fleas, we only used natural things, she had all of her teeth and they were beautiful like the other dogs, to the point that I was jealous. So now we are raising our Aussie shepherd/border collie puppy all raw, we took her off kibble when we bought her from the farm where she was raised with her cattle working parents. She had great fluff but no undercoat, she was cold and slept with the calves. Now her coat is slowly coming in, her teeth look good and she is a smarty, immature like an Aussie but the doctor says she is really solid and strong. I know of people and animals that have healed their diabetes, it took a while with good food and life style change but it made such a wonder to their lives. I hope something here may encourage you, if we could all convince Chronically Jaqui to raw feed with her disabilities we think you will love the results too (we youtubers), her dog Harlow is so different today from the allergy eye dog she first videoed with . I will pray you consider it at least. Enjoy your new kitty with your fam. Wish I was not so allergic to cats, we tried but I had to find a new home for the cat we saved, first time I ever had to do that. Blessings.

  7. I had a pup with insulin dependent diabetes too. FYI everyone…Walmart has the absolute best prices on insulin. Murray is absolutely adorable.

  8. Have you tried higher scratching post? My friend had a cat that would reck everything. They bought her scratching post that were leveled so she could climb up and that helped her from getting on the counters and tables. If she wasn't on their dogs bed sleeping, she was up on her scratching post….also sleeping. Is your cat use to having insulin shots daily?

  9. I usually clean the hair off my cat’s scratching post by using their shared wire brush. This also deposits their scent on the post. Maybe you could brush your cat and then brush the post with the brush afterwards to deposit his scent on the stand. I also gently redirect my cats when they try to scratch on thee furniture by taking them to the post, extending their claws and scratching the post instead. They redirect themselves after enough of this. We also praise and pet them every time they use the post in front of us (For their lifetime!). This positive reinforcement really works well when your cat is very affectionate. Catnip is good as well, we use it as a treat sprinkled on the scratching post following nail trims.

  10. I put my cat scrachers where they tend to scratch. Which is my settee. Also he might need a large one put up in a corner. I have 2 . 1 in living room and 1 in kitchen. Then if they need to get away from my dogs they go up there.. plus side is I put their food in there large cat tree so the dogs can't eat their food. I also use DE food source aswell kill of fleas . Which I sprinkle in their cat tree. My cats used to poop behind the telly. But when I put DE there they stopped.

  11. What a beaut' cat… one of my previous cats Tigger developed diabetes and was on the Lantus, it was never a big problem we were in such a routine, he would hunker down and wait for his needle after eating half his little tin knowing he'd get the rest straight after. Knowing what I know now I would have adopted/adapted a Keto diet for him to reverse it.

  12. Murray is a handsome guy. When we got Lucy she went right to my sons bed. She doesn't get along with our dog Annabelle either. Always hissing at her. OH well.

  13. I love your videos they have so much information I have an important question I have a dachshund miniature that I only feed twice a day just shy of a half a cup each time. Currently feeding her dry Caesars dog food just recently changed her on that but no difference in weight. Don't want her to get diabetes and she has a bad back need her to lose weight should I switch her to can dog food is that better for her? Thank you

  14. Aww, congrats to you for adding such a beautiful & sweet cat to your family. As if we didn't know you were going to fall in love with that sweet kitty. Looks like your son was the lucky pick to share his space. So sweet!! <3

  15. The start of a wonderful relationship. It's amazing how Murray found your son's bed as a safe place. You have a lovely family and Murray the cat is blessed to have found you and vice versa. Love to your family Dr. Andrew xx Great videos!

  16. Congratulations to you and your family for adding a feline to your household. I like his new name. It seems Murray is a better fit and he is so handsome. About the scratching post maybe try rubbing the post with fresh or dry catnip. First try a little bit to find out if Murray is super affected by this herb. I hope to see how Murray is getting along soon. Thank you for all of your helpful videos.

  17. When I adopted CW Moshe,I brought him to his scratch post and demonstrated what to do.
That’s all it took.He has one upstairs and one downstairs.
One of my friends rubs catnip on
    the post to enc. use.

  18. Kitties love to put their 'smell' next to yours, so you should always put any scratching post or climbing tree in the room you frequent the most. Second it helps if you show your furball what that strange new piece of furniture is for by putting him or her in front of it and then show them what's what by scratching it yourself (yes, really!😅just do it😁) This works for 9 out of 10 cats 😘
