I just ran across your Channel today I want to say thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, not many doctors wouldn't do that so doctor God bless you
Hi Dr I have a Chihuahua dog started scratching her skin especially her belly and near her ears and also her legs biting her paws. She has also some swollen white like a pimple spots . I wonder what are the reasons for this. Thank you .
Thanks for yet again another video like this, lol- I got the revolution stuff for fleas and heart worms- he’s so allergic to flea bites, he needed some solid protection. 😅 🐶
Thank you so much for the video. For those of you out there struggling with extreme itchy dogs and nothing seems to help, Dr Jones is spot on!
My 2 yr old black lab was itching, we tried a lot of the natural remedies without much success. When itching became extremely worse our vet put her on apoquel then prednisone and they did not work. I would like to mention that scrapings and skin biopsy are not reliable for mites/mange testing as we did both and it came back negative however our vet still suspected on top of her already 'possible' allergy issues she had mange. Mange is apparently quit rare and is missed diagnosed often. Our poor girl was loosing hair and declining in health at an extremely rapid pace so she was treated for mange/allergy's and secondary skin infection with antibiotics all at once…. This stopped the hair loss in its tracks. WE may never know for sure however suspect sarcoptes mange in the end (from rolling on a dead fox – why do they do that! but they do— Gross) with possible allergic reaction to the mites and the skin infection is common secondary issue. Its been almost 4 weeks and her hair is mostly grown back. She is now off all meds from our vet and she is doing well, still itching a little but manageable now. To try get to bottom of the minor itch we did food sensitivity testing and are currently in week 6 of pork/squash diet only and after two months we will start to add one thing at a time back into her diet. Good luck folks, but certainly dont rule out those parasites even if testing doesnt show them. Appreciate your passion to help people help their beloved pets Dr Jones. Will be watching your CBD webinar tonight 🙂
How about finding out what your dog is allergic to and avoid it! My Lhasa was allergic to chicken, I had no idea that dogs could be allergic to chicken! She saw about 5 vets in 10 years and I didn’t figure it out until she had an exceptionally bad reaction after eating a hard boiled egg every day for a week. I fed her a limited ingredient food that had no chicken products and she never had an issue again.
Hi Dr Jones. My 9 year schnauzer is always beset with skin allergies, which I hear is common in this breed. I've tried 50/50 apple cider vinegar with water, F10 disinfectant spray, allergic to poultry so he's only on beef, pork and salmon with lots of herbs, blueberry, pumpkin, red rice (on and off), carrots. He was on Apoquel and it worked wonders ( he stopped itching, licking his paws and back, and going under the bed and scratching his back using the bottom frame but I read couple of medical journals that it is an immuno suppressant and the studies were not long term and there's been cases of liver, kidney and even shorter span of life. I have mobility issues (5 surgeries in 4 years) and due to unemployment, I do not have funds to buy him supplements and stuffs. The vet said he's allergic to environmental pollutants which unfortunately my flat is facing a big park and monsoon drain that leads to the beach connecting to another country's oil refinery. He hates showering, and its a struggle and have injured my operated knees and shoulders a few occasions. I can't do food elimination cos he will stop eating the same kibble regardless adding in pumpkin, broccoli and carrots (all needs to be pureed or he won't touch it), hence I buy salmon (without the chicken meal though they claim full salmon kibble), Nature Pro lamb, and Northpaw lobster kibble in addition to the meats as listed above. Unique proteins like venison, crocodile meat, rabbits are really expensive. I do not know what to do. His private parts have thickened black skin. He's my soulmate though he bullies me but also my ESA who keeps me company during my chronic insomnia and helps me with my social anxiety. Sorry for the word vomit lol stay safe and thank you for your many advices.
Benadryl really works for my dog when the itchies start up. Discovered he was really allergic to vegetable oils – olive, canola, coconut. Only Avocado oil seem to be ok. Since they put oil in everything, I had to start a homemade diet. He’s doing much better. The food trial helped pinpoint the oil issue.
Question for you? I would like to give my dogs vitamin d could you tell me what would be the best product. They are both 10 lb Yorkie Maltese and a Yorkie poodle they are 10 years old. I hope you get this thank you Lynn
Dr. Jones we moved from CA to AL and our dog began itching immensely after our move! She had been on all medications to stop the itch but still itches. UGH. In CA it is rather rare, I understand to have incidences of Heart Worm so she never was on this medication but after we got to AL because our dog is on incontenance meds I went to the Vet early and was informed of the Heart Worm in our state. After she started this meds she started itchin like CRAZY. DO you agree this med can cause this side affect?
My cat responds well to Apoquel. He is taking one fouth of a tablet every other day. Before the medication, he was miserable. Now, he is happy and his coat is shiny.
Dr Jones…I’ve tried all of your suggestions consistently throughout the years and we still can’t figure it out. We also noticed now that her skin is turning dark/black (she’s an Apricot Maltipoo) and her hair is brittle and falling out. Any suggestions
You are an incredible human being Thank you for all you do to enable us to provide optimal natural health for our precious pets You are appreciated and loved
My rescue who I adopted a year ago is on Apoquel and I want to get him off it. He is now taking about 3-4 tablets/week instead of 7. I am cooking his own food and giving probiotics, salmon oil and a good supplement for dogs. I can finally see some light at the end of the tunnel. Also, he is allergic to chicken, but tolerates ground beef and turkey well, which I alternate.
One of my dog even had super sensitive skin, even visited a dog dermatologist…until I figured it was the flea/ tick oil med that he would set him off. Still had sensitive skin but not as bad.
I cannot find that exact bottle of aged extract that you have .can you please give me another one that is safe to use. I have notice a lot of them by that brand have lots of other stuff mixed in unless I get the bottle you showed but I cannot find it online. And is it safe to give to a dog with mitral valve disease. Thank you❤
My dog has environmental allergies. I had him tested and food is not his problem. He is on steroids because apoquel did not work for him and he still is itchy.
I feed my dog grain free and gluten free food and treats now . Solid Gold wet and dry food for my Chi I get at Petsmart .Seems to help a lot . No more freetos smelling feet , lol

My dog ears get Rae and bloody and her whole body gets rid and itchy! Nothing has helped. I was even told to put her down but she is a happy healthy itchy dog
Can I put the apple cider vinegar in her raw food? Rather than water? I appreciate your advice. Thank you
