I've had the same strains in Cali, GA, Colorado and NYS….yes there is difference…but I can recognize it still. Sour diesel tastes like SD even if they cut too early and it has that fresh grass smell. I'd rather have something where they did it right and the Terp profile is pronounced. I'm just saying that if you really like a strains taste or effect… getting it in a different state should not be utterly disappointing.
To say strains don't matter is to say ppl don't prefer one thing over another based on taste. Strawberry Bliss does taste like strawberry and citrus strains do taste citrusy so why wouldn't that matter?

Epigenetics is reaction to enviromental conditions which can trigger certain traits, Pheno types are way a plant appears and would be like the difference between sisters in same family, some sisters will look very simular and in some families you can't even tell they are related. line breeding will make certain traits more stable.

just…. no. You seem awesome but strains give you a great idea of what kind of effects, looks, and tastes CAN be achieved with optimal conditions. Phenotypes are going to change the batches so to speak yeah but the profiles will not change nearly as much with two Glue samples vs. a glue vs. a kush sample. I agree with everything you said but the title really. Yes, the different variables you mentioned can make or break a plant or grow for sure.
