  1. @Veterinary Secrets. Doctor my cat was diagnosed with CKD stage 2 he had an episode where he threw up 20 times. He's back home now but hasn't eaten for 2 days and I'm really worried. He refuses to eat so how am I supposed to administer the slippery elm

  2. Murray is an amazing kitty – he will eat anything! But what if your cat won't eat one, or any, of these that you recommend? Mine HATED the slippery elm – it has a distinct taste and he would not eat it in food. I don't want to force-syringe or force-pill him. It would be so easy if he would just eat stuff in his wet food. sigh…

  3. Are we mixing or just sticking with one supplement?

I bought your ultimate feline health formula hoping it helps him. I’m trading that for Cosequin as he seems to have lethargy and irritation as a side effect. (Almost everything I try including the Epakitin.
I also ordered another CBD and your omega krill oil.
He’s 10 1/2 with a bad lower back – really bad in his hip. He’s been at 18lbs for the last year. Just recently we switched to wet food (Rawz brand) and going to the chiropractor every Thursday for either and adjustment or laser.

His hip is causing him constipation and straining while pooping, our vet wants him on Miralax every day ‘for forever’
Even the Miralax causes lethargy and irritation. 🙁

It seems like it all came out of nowhere but I know it slowly progressed. I just miss my happy go lucky, loving kitty. 🙁

Can these supplements be mixed or are you just suggesting one at a time?
He will be getting CBD (twice a day) and Miralax and night time.

  4. Am I able to feed my cat these supplements to help prevent kidney disease? Our furry baby came to us with no claws on all fours and she just loves to eat. We are trying to work on preventative health in her younger years so that she has a long life with us!

  5. First, my cat doesn't really like canned food…and, isn't DMB of the protein supposed to be less than 40%, and Phosphorous around 0.5%? I know Wellness isn't meeting that requirement? still ok to feed? I see, you are using binder to control the Phosphorous, which my vet still has not suggested at stage 3. I should just go ahead and get it myself. My baby doesn't like fish oil of any kind, I will have to get Krill then. I also have your "Ultimate Feline", which she only accepts it in her dry food..

  6. My cat is only 3 year old and suffering from kidney deases fourt stage. I want to save her any how, please help me what can I do. Daily two times dripping continue since last one week .

  7. I feed my cat wet food for his main meals. So naturally, he craves the kibble, which I give him in small quantities as a treat. (I toss individual kibbles for him to chase, so he has to work for them.) I have thought to switch to kibble as his main food, but will NOT now after seeing this video. I wonder if the small quantities of kibble I treat him to are detrimental. He has not been diagnosed with kidney disease, but I’m going to have this checked.

  8. My kitty is about to turn 1 year and he started showing kidney failure about a week ago. The vet didn't run any tests because I couldn't afford it, but he recommended Probiotics (Fortiflora.) My cat started moving more after consuming one packet of Fortiflora. He still can't meow, he eats, but barely drinks water. I give him water with a syringe, but he refuses so I kinda have to force him. He is trying to meow but still can't. I don't know if he is getting better, or if he is trying to fight the pain.

  9. Hi Dr Jones
My kitty was diagnosed with renal failure. My vet recommended eptakin but I read some reviews I saw a lot of problems and a lot of side effects! I very nervous about this and was wondering about your thoughts.

  10. My cat unfortunately has both legs liver problem & CKD. Can one give supplemehes of both? What does one do when they arnt eating much how will the supplement metabolise

  11. Hi, Doc, Epakitin is not available in my country. What can you suggest as an alternative? There is an "Ipakitin" being sold online, but I am not sure it is reliable. There are also chitosan powders that are available. Will this be good enough? Please advise. Thanks!

  12. I find giving my cat the Probiotics for urine toxins, works better in 2ml water, given by mouth, then he stops vomiting and feels better and can eat. I do put it on his food (canned), as well.

  13. I love the video, really helped one of my cats who was really sick, but I have to say the background music is really distracting. Had to watch the video several times to get the full message.

  14. Slippery Elm STINKS and I'm sure it tastes bad…..my cat who is diagnosed Stage 1 and has become very picky / less eating lately, will hardly eat the food that I put it in. HELP !!! ALSO – the Phos binder is out of stock, both on Amazon Canada and Amazon USA !! Is there a run on this, or something? YIKES HELP !!

  15. Just watching your videos make me feel at ease. Pets only deserve the best and I want to give my pets a happy and fulfilled life as much as I can. The Canadian Vet clinics charge high prices and only recommending processed food. My male cat is currently at the Emergency Hospital due to urethra blockage and could possibly have kidney damage for the rest of his life. My questions are: Can kidney damage be cured? Can he live a long life with this issue? I'm thinking of switching him to raw; what are your thoughts about raw feeding? I currently feed my dog raw and he is thriving. Thank you for all your hard work and giving us free valuable info.

  16. Do you have a link for the Azodyl? Another commenter mentioned how their vet said Epikitin could potentially be detrimental, could you please address this. I don't know where to begin and your video was the first one I came across in search of helping my cat with CKD. She was diagnosed this year, she's 17. Please reply 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

  17. I have a question is this okay to add this to my cats wet food in they don’t have CKD I have a 1 year old persian and as you know i’m sure, they’re prone to a lot of issues. He is currently perfectly healthy. However I want to give him the best life possible. Can I add the first thing you recommended into his wet cat food?

    Thank you! 🥰
