Pills are the way to go to make sure you're dosing correctly. I never felt much from edibles until I had a 66mg chocolate that got me high but nothing really memorable. I tried one 10mg pill a couple days ago and I was fucked up for over 6 hours including getting a massive head rush from tying my shoes that had me on the verge of passing out for a whole minute. Moral of the story: pills are much easier to dose correctly (both when they are made and when you take them) and therefore they take away a lot of the nervousness that comes from the uncertainty of conventional edibles. (Also my tolerance is very low).

the dab may be the same thc as the edible but the edible takes longer to land and is generally milder and longer duration so to get the same high you would have to eat more

You are better off as a patient (state legal registered user). Because those who do not have the license/prescription can only get individual dose that's only 10mg (max dose individually), which costs about 5 bucks per 10mg capsule. Hell, at these rec. shops, you end up paying about the same price as your 10 capsule (100+mg each capsule) for one single 100mg drink (contains 10 dose of 10mg. each dose).
So yeah… your situation/cost is pale compared to what rec. users pay, mg per mg.
if you are a regular cannabis user its highly unlikely that THC will have any affect on you at all. I have chronic pain and see an anesthetist to manage my pain. He told me that cannabis users have stimulated the cannabanoid receptors therefore THC alone wont work especially lomg term
I believe I read somewhere that cbd actually increases the absorption of thc or something like that so a cbd pill could help with needing higher thc pill dosage
