  1. Great vlog! A couple years ago I was bitten on my left forearm by one of our large LGD's when she got hung up in a fence. Resulted in a 2"' long tear/puncture wound. After staunching the majority of the immediate bleeding, we freed the dog, then headed down to the local urgent care center. I told the attending vet…..oops, doctor… that I figured he was probably bored dealing with numerous flu cases, so I thought I would bring him something different 🙂 After cleaning the wound and stabilizing it, I ended up getting one or two stitches to close it up, but still allowing for some drainage. Now have a nice scar to wear! (non-related story – I found out from another doc that squirrels evidently are not significant carriers of rabies, but that's a tale for another day )

  2. I have raised Pitbulls all my life..ive never been bitten. I took my pitbull to the vet the other day, and was bitten in the face twice, by a Golden Retriever. The only thing the owner said, was " I'm sorry about that!" I still don't know if the dog was current on its rabies vaccinations. However it is in quarantine. I dont want the dog euthanized though..that really hurts my heart, to think, the dog, could lose its life, because of a careless owner..

  3. My Aunt was looking after someones small dog and was holding it in her arms She suggested i stroked it and it bit me on my right arm I was to embarrassed to say anything thing so i carried on stroking it with my left hand and eventually it let me go and i had a Nice bruise But never ever told her 😂

  4. Hi there, to my favorite internet Vet. I have a question, my little Lucy has a upset stomach. She is very sensitive to foods.
I gave her 1 tsp Pepno Bismal. You sd 1 tsp 3x day. Day 2 still not good.
    Do u have a suggestion?
    Thank you kindly.
She is a maltypoo, if that helps. 8lbs.

  5. My dachshund lost an upper fang tooth, the other is pocketing stuff and getting loose. There is a hole still there a week later. It doesn’t smell, doesn’t look infected but what should be done? Is this a problem? I’ve had her teeth cleaned before, very expensive. She is 12 years old.

  6. I can totally get this video. I tried to rescue the neighbors toy poodle from the street, he latched on to my leg through jeans and hung on tight. Never broke the skin, tore the jeans but left his entire mouth imprint on my leg for 2 yrs. I always use colloidal silver on wounds after cleaning and they heal fast and leave little to no scar behind. It also is non toxic to pets if they lick.

  7. Dr Jones I hope you see this message we have a coonhound lab 12 years old who was recently put on Prednisone for itching, inflammation. He weighed 106 lbs. How much should he have been given? And if he has cancer can the RX speed up the cancer process? This is so very important please I need your help asap!

  8. IF you seek medical attention, the doctor or ER is required by law (at least in the US) to file a bite report. If possible, take the dog's vaccination record with you. I am in no way suggesting you not seek medical help if needed to avoid the report, just be prepared if possible.

Also, this video should have had a viewer's advisory for graphic content. Best special effects EVER!
