  1. If the dog is outside mostly, to prevent a possible environmental allergy, is shoes recommended? And what about epsom salt with warm water?
Found your video very useful! Thank you!

  2. Hi Dr..I'm halfway through this video but wanted to ask u how to apply the licorice root tincture? Do I mix it with something & is it safe for them to lick? Maybe I can mix it with something that tastes BAD to my dog so that they WONT lick it off?

  3. I just watched your video on treating ears, thank you by the way, and now the paws. My Maltese had horrible allergies since we moved from California to Texas. Up until recently they only seemed to affect her skin and at times needed antibiotics if it got too bad. I might mention I do get her allergy injections regularly. She also coughs frequently at times with the allergies. So I took her for check up and allergy shot 3 weeks ago and asked the doc to check her ears because I noticed the night before her appt it was beet red with the brownish black goop. Plus she is licking her paws more than usual. It seems like the allergy injection did not help at all this time. What can I do to ensure my baby isn't so uncomfortable? Is there maybe a specific kind of allergy medication that is better. She also is a VERY picky eater so changing diet is last resort, it took me years to get her over 4lbs. I appreciate any suggestions. I am so grateful I found your videos! PS….that's my baby in the profile pic.

  4. I sure hope this helps. I went to medicine shops today. The first one did not have the licorice root. But had the lavender oil. On to next medicine shop and they had the licorice root. Make note one will not tell you to go to the other in case they would have it. After spending almost 50.00 for both products, I went to Target and got a gallon of red apple cider vinegar, and the coconut oil. I also went to a Pet Shop. Do you know how hard it is to find a shampoo without oatmeal? I found one that is a Probiotic shampoo. Got home Gave Bella (chihuahua) a bath. Then made the green tea solution and soaked for five minutes. After all of that, I went to clean up and noticed her "licking her paws" So, I laid her on her back and put some newborn baby socks on her! She is now laying beside me and NOT licking her paws!!! The Vet (who looks like the Wizard on the Wizard of Oz movie) gave me 6 months of allergy pills. Yea that didn't work at 57.00 a month! I just ended her 4th month and happened on to you and decided to give the medicine shops the 57.00 instead! ANYWAY stay tuned as I will let you know how it goes. (you might want to block me LOL) Seriously, can you keep the solution and add to it or throw it out each day time you make the solution? And #2 will your pet get sick from licking the solution? #3 why does your dog only lick their front paws and not their back? I got her laying next to me with her socks on. Wanted to give them a few minutes before she starts to lick again. Thank you for your help. I will keep her on this for a month and report back.

  6. My dog PoohBear literally licked and chewed his paw raw to the point where the skin between his toes is pealing and bleeding…. I called everywhere in my area and no place is taking new clients, the animal hospital wont even take me 😭 his paw is pussing and it’s really gooey, what can I do at home? I haven’t seen any videos out there with an extreme condition like the one my dog has right now..

  7. Gave Snowflake my 8 pound maltese 6 drops of licorice extract instead of 6 drops of licorice tincture ~will she die????? Called vet and he knows nothing about it! Called poison control and they don’t answer

  8. Hi Dr. Jones, do you make a new batch each time you soak the dog's foot in the green tea mixture shown in the video or do you reuse the mix for a few days? Thank you for your informative videos I always go to your video to get information.

  9. Not sure if you will see this, would green or black tea in bath water work for a dog with demodictic mange? I usually prepare her an oatmeal bath with apple cider vinegar and use an organic coconut oil soap, but more options to switch things up incase it stops working would be fantastic.

  10. I have a Newfie so the soak is too hard to do. Can I spray her foot with aforementioned solution? I do not have plain green tea so I am using green tea with matcha and ginger. Hope that is ok. How much licorice root should I be using for a 150 pound dog? Thank you and we really appreciate your posts. You’re a savior .
