  1. I think my cat has either stroke or FATE…..but it was caught very early and today she is walking and can eat and drink a little….so she may be one of the lucky ones. she is 19.

  2. My car unfortunately is going through this right now but it was 3/4 days of an unsure diagnosis. It all started on a Saturday when I was looking for my cat around the house to find him in the basin or unusual he loves the cold space but what was weird was he wasn’t coming out to see me I found him under a shelf and I managed to carful get him out he didn’t meow or do anything out of the ordinary until he was siting in front of me be crawled back to hide. I was worried I laid next to the shelf on the ground petting him and she was shaking like he was “cold”. I thought made he was coming down with a kitty cold so I brought all his favourite blankets down stairs and made him a spot I though he would like the most a cubby. I picked him up and placed him inside and got him all tucked in he wasn’t in any pain for showing and concerning signs. The next morning he was still in the same spot. So by 1pm I made a call to a vet that I wanted to bring my cat in because this just wasn’t him. We came into the vet he was lethargic and very sad looking not vocal at all and that just wasn’t him! The vet didn’t really have much to say about a prognosis so he was put on Aventi liver because his liver Enzymes were at 209. Anti nausea pills, supplements, an antibiotic to be sure his white blood cell was normal. The vet said he had a heard murmur. Sent us on our way and said if his health declined to bring him back asap. By 8/9 that night he was in pain and lost 70/80 % of function in his legs he could use them but barely and he was in pain. Keep in mind before we left the vet I asked my vet in he was in pain the answer was no because Paddle thrombus wasn’t in his mind yet. So that entire night I’m googling things because now he’s in pain and can’t walk. I take him back first thing in the morning the vet thought he had a tail pull injury which I was actually really pissed off about. Because the second I got home with him I brought him to a room that was fit to take care of him and nothing could hurt him I made a bed on the floor to sleep right beside him and he’ll him. X-ray was done and you guessed in NO tail pull injury. He through up the idea of maybe is a clot but didn’t say much. That is was still probably injury when it was physically impossible as I was caring for him 24/7 if I wasn’t in the room someone else was for 5 mins while I was away. We got sent home with pain medication which by the way did absolutely nothing and was told to come back Wednesday if he made it. So for 3 long days and night I nursed my pore cat with no Definitive answer as to what was going on. He’s been bed bound and I’ve been on edge looking at him every 5 minutes arms reach away from him since Sunday. Little food water is in here and if he looks like he needs anything I bring things to him to figure it out. He messes I clean it up. Wednesday today his appointment rolled around and we get to the vet I cat him out of the kennel and to my surprise he is trying to walk barely but is trying and was the first time in 4 days I saw him actually trying to walk. So I brought up saddle thrombus and he thinks this is what he has more blood work was done but we were sent home. Thinking the clot might be clearing and that we would be referred to a cardiologist for an echocardiogram. I hate how unclear that last few days have been and I have had more help from the internet then a vet.

  3. Dr Linus Pauling did studies involving vitamin C , L-Lysine, and L-proline. It was said to clean out arteries and help with heart disease. How effective would this be for cats and dogs?

  4. LOL I think Murray has about had enough of being in your videos. 😂 I see you are very close to have half a million subscribers.. Congratulations Dr. Jones. Thank you for the information. I have 2 cats and feed 4 stray cats.

  5. I lost my boy Dobby ten years ago at the age of four and a half. He was not diagnosed until after he had passed. I had taken him to his vet and a cat specialist and they didn't catch it. This is a horrible disease that seems to becoming more prevalent.

  6. Dr. Jones, do you have any video about treating dog benign warts with cryopens? I have a small dog wish is 12 years old and has warts all over the body causing him to scratch itself. Alraedy tried Vit E, Apple cide vinegar, nothing works. I heard cryo therapy can heal the warts.

  7. Could you please help my dog is 10 years old she is a jack Russell terrier when we go to sleep at night she hacks and coughs like she is trying to cough something up also when she barks she does this also and when drinking water we are talking her to the vet this Wednesday but we are really worried if you have any suggestions can you please let us know thanks for all you do and God bless

  8. None of these kitties had to die! All any of them need is HOMEOPATHY! The remedy BOTHROPS dissolves the blood clot & the paralysis is gone- I’ve been practicing 4 over 36 yrs; I’ve never had the BOTHROPS not work😻 HOMEOPATHY has NO SIDE EFFECTS; NO CHEMICALS.

  9. As always thank you for your honesty and integrity. I wish I had found your channel sooner. Keep posting content like this it may be the difference between just in time and too late.

  10. Oh doctor, my cat is on her way to Pet emergency within the hour for what I believe could be this very thing. I believe it's time for me to say goodbye. It's strange how I found this. She's about 5 yrs old. She lived outside for four years
Very feral but not now. I've grown so close to her. I'm taking care of her babies and grandbabies. Thank goodness everyone is spay and neutered. But losing her…well😔💜

  11. I lost my Blackie to this last December it was horrific, I had to put him to sleep. I just couldn't let him be in that much pain. The vet said his legs were dying and that was what was so painful. The hospital told me that it would be a long, expensive treatment that wouldn't necessarily get better.

  12. I had 2 cats, a year apart, fall to the ground, yowling, flopping from side to side. I have no idea if their back legs were paralyzed. They just howled, howled, and flopped side to side, twisting in excruciating pain.

One I knew had an enlarged heart. Rushed her to the nearest vet, frantically screamed my cat is having a heart attack, and they handed me a dead cat and a $500 bill.

Then another a year later, same thing. This time a male. I sat with him praying he would die. He went much more quickly, and I'm glad I didn't rush him to the vet. He wouldn't have survived the trip. It's a sound you'll neverrr forget. I miss them both. 😢😢 Been giving my cats taurine daily ever since.

  13. I'm so glad you covered this when it happened to my cat I blamed myself. I thought I killed him with 1/8 of an aspirin… I just made him comfortable and I knew they were going to euthanize him at the vet I let him die comfortably at home with all family around. I felt so bad just all the things that you can imagine. This really put my heart at ease.

  14. Thank you for talking about FATE. I think every cat parents should know about it and be prepared.
When it happened to my cat, within 15 min, I was given the hardest choice of my life.
I refused to put him down, due to his old age, vet didn’t bother to do any treatment, just gave us pain killer and sent him home to die.
My baby is a fighter, more than 1 year later, he’s stronger than ever. This is his birthday, he’s sweet 16 now!

  15. Thank you Dr Jones I have never heard of it but will certainly be purchasing it thank you you once again love and blessings to you all 💞💞💞🐕🐕🐕😺😺😺

  16. I have a very old cat, kidney disease; I don't want to take her to the vet anymore because she is terrified and frail, and i'd rather her last days/months be comfortable. I hope she will die in her sleep; no vets close by, and $400 to get one to come to the house for euthanasia. I'm giving her CBD oil once a day right now; she eats just enough. Any tips or info much appreciated…

  17. Wish more veterinarians today were like you. Funny story my medical doctor and friend who unfortunately has passed away always told me he wished he would've become a veterinarian instead of a medical doctor.

  18. My 7 years cat has many problems going on at the same time. My main concern now is that he has IBD and ecoli infection in his right middle ear. He had stomach upset and diarrhea (one time seen with blood) when he took Zeniquin antibiotic( only 4 tablets). It’s been over a month and now his stools have improved. Should we continue to give him Zeniquin or we should change to something else like chloramphenicol ( which I’m worried it’s going to upset his stomach along with the other side effects). Zeniquin is the safest of the other options. The other option besides antibiotics would be to make VBO surgery as the vet suspect that with the infection he likely has a polyp in his middle ear from what’s seen on the ct scan. Please let me know what do you thinks. Any advice.
    Thank you
