  1. Hey Doc, hopefully you see this message, I have an 8 month old silver lab he initially had entropia which we luckily helped reverse with eye tacks but the more serious issue is his apparent (severe) allergy to corn and soy I guess sorgum which is a popular filler in most dog foods. His case started out about 2 months in to me getting him when he was 4 months old and he became lethargic day 1 by day 2 he cried when trying to get up and by day 3 he was in the deficating position and could barely walk. I took him to the emergency vet (it was Sunday) then to his regular vet the next day to no avail, they ran all relevant tests. When I finally called his breeder the next day he finally disclosed to me his allergies. I put him on a grain free food and he seems fine now. He had no other symptoms like itching or hot spots. Have you ever heard of anything like that? The breeder also said stay away from chicken as it can create a waxy buildup in their system and to stick with beef veggies berries cottage cheese yogurt and fish oil. Also pro biotics we’re strongly recommended.

  2. Hi Doc. My pup is 3 months old. She has itching on her tummy, tail, elbows and legs. Including edge of ears. Ive put olive oil, vit. E but it did not help, the itch came back. I started with apple cider vinegar last night. So far, itching is less, she sleel more now and seems a little relaxed tham previous days. I also stopped lamb and rice flavored meals. Any other suggestions please? Its sad to see her scratch amd whine everytime she scratches.

  3. Packaged dog food no more ever. Daisy is finally showing relief and healing. With advice from my vegan daughter who is in super shape and symptom free from MS and is now helping others. That's another story.
I have started homemade and she getting better, almost back to a normal. After detoxing her for about two weeks just on steamed veggies. Now I'm figuring out how much to give her and how many meals a day. So far I'am pressure canning fresh wild caught sockeye salmon with skin and bone/ and canned sardine water packed and that is the only 'meat source' starting with about one heaping Tablespoon a day and all kinds of steamed veggies and apple, raw and steamed carrot, banana fruit for snacks all 'organic'…especially yam every meal. I add powdered turkey tail mushroom, green mussel oil, Vimergy brand vitamins, B12, blueberry powder, spiralina and fresh, cucumin, turmeric…all in small doses usually once a day. I feed 3 times a day and watching because after the detox I want her to gain about 2 lbs. to be a good healthy weight for her. I do not give her any grains.
This is not easy but so far she is doing fantastic. I'm no longer having to bath her up to twice a week and that yeasty smell she would get has completely gone. She has nearly completely quit itching, and where she had really bad skin inflammation and bald spots from scratching. Is now healing and hair growth is coming back. She is a white/spotted gold mix breed papillon, she was adopted from a shelter at 8 weeks, looks like a papillon and a large one because about 12 lbs is a good weight for her.
Vet had diagnosed her with environmental allergies. I don't go back to vet because they only want to give her cytopoint … I know I spelled that wrong. And the Apoquel gave her horrible diarrhea. No more ever again. My daughter used the same approach with her mini pom that came from china and had lost nearly all her hair and itched…that little doll is now cured and has her hair all back.

  4. I have a bluenose and shes had allergies since a baby. I stopped giving chicken, and the apoquil is the only thing that calms her down. She wont eat any of the new higher quality food brands we buy for her. Itches alot on the neck and ear area, i cant see her like that anymore! What can we do? Does the duck or turkey aggrivate her since theyre still kinda like chicken

  5. I've brought my German Shepard to the vet due to her having an awful oder and dark waxy like discharge from her ears, and the vet discovered dog allergies and gave her prednisone. Unfortunately it hasn't gotten better but did when she was on Prednisone. So brought her back cause it wasn't getting better and they gave me a wash and some ointment but I wish I can get to the bottom of what is causing her to continue to live miserable. Thanks to anyone that can give me any tips to make my girl live healthy.

  6. I had a terrier that developed a skin fungus…smelled like bad dirty socks! Vet wanted to but him on a drug for the rest of his life! Groomer told me to do a deep scrubbing wash with Hibiclens two times leaving it on 10mins before rinsing. Beware of keeping it out of the eyes ears and mouth. And repeat again in a week or two if it reappears…but it didn't. Had to do it again after It reappeared about 1 year later…..i believe from the dead leaves in the yard. But after that it was gone! Forever! Worth a try….

  7. My blue heeler is 14 yrs old now & I am 73! Guess that makes us both in our 70's. Funny thing – except for vaginal yeasts (recurring) & non-stop & uterine tract infections (recurring) & non-stop, the dog & I had one medical problem, we shared – we both had itching ears for years, that kept recurring & were non-stop. Our ears were both bloodied & sore, from scratching . Only recently did I find out from one particular vet, that the dogs' ear was full of yeast too. There were antibiotics on top of antibiotics, now! This is what I'd like to share. My primary caregiver could not fix my ear problem with cortisone, the problem kept recurring. I asked him to refer me to an eyes/ear/nose specialist who sternly forbid me to stop scratching my ears AND STOP the antibiotic CORTISONE. I did stop this drug & when my ears itched badly, I applied eczema cream, containing natural oatmeal as a treatment. The itching completely stopped & this prevented further scratching & infection.. Long story short, for the dog & I – antibiotics seemingly cleared up the symptom, but did not clear up the problem, the (allergy food or environmental one) but gave us a far worse problem….YEAST! & Believe me..yeast is not forgiving..the suffering is forever & ever. I think vets should limit the use of antibiotics, unless the situation is a life or death one & there is no other recourse for treatment. The cart is before the horse, if you will. The source of the problem still exists! I am deeply saddened by these experiences with my dogs' ear/urinary/vaginal issues that all required antibiotic (drug) treatments for 14 yrs now! I am deeply grateful though I found Dr. Jones' videos. I've been to the health food store lately, in hopes my dog can have some relief from her ailments with actual cures, this time. Words cannot express, how grateful I am to Dr. Andrew Jones. He is truly a Doctor Angel! I recognize all of my dog's food issues in his videos, & feel natureopathic may be the answer to get the dog, comfortable again. I hope my beloved dog will hopefully, get better from all his research & experience with animals, as a veterinarian! . Next to my dog, Tootsie who I love with all my heart, I know I definitely love Dr. Andrew Jones, second best!! ❤️ With warmest regards, from Canada. Be safe & be well!

  8. Thank you for sharing !
What is good store bough food I can get for my dog. ? He is mostly eating vegetarian because he is allergic to many foods I have given him but I wanna give him the right day to day nutrients

  9. One more thing LOL we had to leave our home because of black mold we were sick and he constantly had yeast infections I'm wondering is there mold somewhere that I don't know and he's being exposed to that and it's making him sick again? Although this isn't the same thing we are in our fifth wheel right now and I don't think we have that problem. Not sure because this just happened not too long ago but it has been an off and on again thing

  10. I can't seem to get the Frito chips smell off of him and it's also on me I gave him a bath and did the vinegar I put coconut and vinegar and his ears and have kept them really clean? Will it take a while just keep doing this? I am sort of a hypochondriac when it comes to my dog he means more to me than anything in the whole world LOL I guess I'm asking do I keep giving him vinegar rinses, baths and how frequently if so? I have no problem taking him to the vet. He's been to the vet quite a bit and actually didn't need to be there so I'm trying to keep some balance he is my first dog and of course I am head over heels in love with him!!

  11. My 1 year old standard poodle Kody has a vet appointment in 2 days. He has what I believe bad blepharitis in 1 eye. I am doing the warm compresses and camomile tea compress too. He was neutered 1 months ago. 2 weeks after he went crazy scratching under his belly. Licking and scratching.. 😩 he had little skin sores everywhere. I cleaned all these sores and put his cone back on and used benadryl. Now for the last week his eye. Losing fur around his eye. It looks awful. I don't have much money for tests and things as we just had him fixed and in July 2021 he broke his front leg..3000.00 for that😢 please pray for my dog Kody.

  13. My dog’s poop looks like it’s covered in a condom or a sausage casing. Any ideas? I’ve been feeding heroine cooked fish and a stew with primarily potatoes for a while which helps but she has these flair ups and she is a little too slim on this diet. I’m at a loss for what other protein to add to her diet. when I add beef she has bawl movement issues. Thanks!

  14. Thank you. A lot of doctors and vets in USA treat the symptoms and avoid finding and eliminating the problem. I’ve been working on healthy natural options for my dog, 2 cats, as well as myself. Selecting good healthy food and turning to herbs for treatment and/or prevention of problems, that are free of antibiotics, hormones, chemicals, pollutants ….

  15. hi, thank you for sharing!
