  2. Thank you for this! I was giving my dog farmers dogs. She’s a Vizsla. She needs high protein but I noticed that her stools were very watery on farmers dog food. I have switched to the refrigerated bag of fresh pet chicken/cranberry/carrots. She loves it! The food is more solid and she has healthy stools again! I read there was a recall on FP so I got a little worried and came on here to do some research! She looks healthy has a ton of energy so I’m sticking with freshpet! You eased my mind!

  4. Currently nursing my sick dog whom i just switched to fresh pet 5 days ago! On my way to vet! Thank you Dr Wonderful… always home cooked but was getting expensive since lost my job. I feel awful

  6. I’m satisfied it was a Voluntary recall. However I’m so exhausted from thinking I found something healthy and then….🤬. Moving forward kibble and freshpet will make up only 30% of his diet. I’ll cook the rest.

  7. Good to know freshpet is sort of a responsible company. My dog LOVES bacon more than any other food and I prefer feeding him fresh pet bacon treats over "human bacon" due to the sodium. We do get low sodium bacon for my mom, he does get some of that sometimes.

  9. What is a safe healthy recipe for dog food . My Chihuahua Leia was eating Rachael Ray Nutrish Little Bites since 2019. Two and a half month ago she got a cough. I took her to the vet and was told she had a enlarged heart . July 62021 she passed away in my arms . Rachael Ray Nutrish is under investigation for causing heart problems. Smuckers is the company that makes it . I talked to them and was told they know of 12 dogs that have died . They also told me Blue Buffalo was also under investigation . They told me they were not doing anything until they get the report back from the investigation . Mean while they are putting our fur babies in risk . I find their wait and see rather than being more active to find out if there is a problem or what the problem is despicable ! They are a big corporation and bottom line is to make money . Making hundreds of millions a year just from Rachael Ray Nutrish dog food . They don’t care if our fur babies die . My Leia was my daughter the love of my life my emotional support ! I am heartbroken, over come with grief . Wondering how will I make it through each day !

  10. I took my dog off of fresh pet a few months ago. He was vomiting a lot and I was baffled because it just started all of a sudden. I took him to the vet and they couldn’t find anything wrong. So I decided to take him off of the fresh pet to see how he would do and he would stop vomiting. As soon as I gave it to him again the vomiting would start. I knew it had to be the dog food. Then my friend brought to my attention that she could no longer find the fresh pet that we had been in any store or online. I think they knew months ago the food was contaminated. I’m so glad I was able to catch it before it caused my baby serious stomach problems.

  12. I feed my dog diamond naturals which is a great food per he’s still a puppy and I give him multivitamins as well. We’ll be transitioning when he’s 1. We give cooked meat and veggies at times as well.
    If you feed kibble I suggest watching the tattled dog trainer here on YouTube she’s a pet nutritionist and has amazing videos !!

  14. Dr. Jones could u suggest sources of Omega -3 fatty acids that can be added to Home made food for Dogs. Secondly it is advised that salt should not be given in food prepared for dogs. Why is it so what harm does it cause?

  19. I've been feeding freshpet for about 15 yrs and I always wash my hands after handling. I have a farm and always have 6 dogs minimum and I don't like to give but minimal dry dog food. I've never once had a dog die of anything but old age. Just remember, if all humans left the earth tomorrow, the first place your dogs would go is the garbage cans. Dogs will scavenge long before they'll hunt anything. We love our dogs more than life but they are pretty gross in their doings 😁

I need help for my Cat, he just turned 1 his Vet can't diagnose him, he is the most nervous terrified cat ever, he bites his nails, hides under a bed in places we can not get to him, he only does this when I have anyone over, he knows my granddaughter didn't see her for a few months (She's 15) very sweet and quite, he hides for a couple days until it's just us while he's hiding he won't use the bathroom, eat, drink, the poor guy like goes into another world and doesn't respond to me while I'm holding or talking to him he won't make eye contact with me his only goal is to lower his body and tail and run to his hiding spot. I tried everything Feliway, sprays to calm him, Chamomile in a bag Please Help, if the Veterinarian can't help what should I do? My poor baby is tortured with Fear & Suffers bad, I can't see my 5 year old grandson at all my poor baby would probably have a heart attack. PLEASE HELP🙏🙏🙏

  25. Is that dog overweight?!!

    I always feed my dog homemade (cooked) food. Vegetables, rice, red lentils, chicken, chicken livers, beef, etc, ginger and spices. Make a big pot, goes in the fridge and it's good for 10+ days (twice a day). So much cheaper and healthier for my 5 yr old min pin chihuahua mix.

  29. Just came out of my kitchen making my dogs homemade food. I just don’t trust comercial food n I buy everything fresh n also with a wholistic canine supplement. My Vet says he’s ( Buddy) is in tip top shape!
