  1. Took my cat to the vet today. I did not know anything about gingivitis till today – they are telling me that we have to extract all of teeth. Heartbroken and trying to find a solution to this. I want to fight to save his teeth and he does too. He's a fighter and always has been. Does anyone know a good vet in Toronto for a second opinion?

  2. Hi , hope your keeping well and through this difficult time I’m sure everyone really appreciates what a beautiful soul you are and helping animals what a beautiful person . I have 2 cats one died 3 months ago. The 2 cats I have are both girls princess is 10 yrs and sky who is 13yrs and now gone blind. I was cleaning sky’s teeth and a rotten tooth fell out and was bleeding. I have rinsed her mouth out with green tea and 3 drops of fresh lemon she did swallow this is that ok? Anything for pain or will it heal naturally for her ?Thank you

  3. I am so glad about this video I hope you see this message soon . My cat was diagnosed with gengivitis Friday today is now Sunday and he’s not eating or drinking he’s in a lot of pain I could tell . The blood work came out fine for surgery but I don’t want to wait a while other day just to see about when he can get surgery . Is there anything that can be done outside taking him to an emergency clinic to spend a lot of money .

  4. Thank you for this video 😊 I'm just trying to order some of the remedies you suggest and the aloe Vera gel, the lily of the desert one, has other ingredients in? Are they safe as I've been learning sodium benzoate isn't the best, especially when mixed with citric acid? But so much Misinformation out there that I just get confused at what's actually true so could you advise please? Struggling to find one that just has 100% aloe Vera pulp in it

  5. Another commenter from another video used Bentonite clay powder to their cat food. Just dusted on the food before putting in the bowl. Solved the gingivitis on an elderly cat better than antibiotics, etc..

  8. One of my cats started drooling with his tongue out and it has foul smell, there's no vets in ny town and we can't go out because of this pandemic. I don't know what's happening but he's been like that for almost a day, he can't even eat nor drink. What should I do? What's happening to him? 😢

  11. My cat, 5 years old, has recurrent gingivitis for the past 3 years and was treated with antibiotics and was resolved; then, occurred again and seems improving with antibiotics. The vet suggests to have tooth extracted and says cats can live without teeth. I am trying to save his teeth cuz I feel having teeth is better than none; the vet says it may lead to serious disease if don't get extracted. The cat is behaving happy and actively. No weight loss. No eating issues. I'm willing to have him professionally cleaning often. Could you offer me some suggestions? Can gingivitis cause coughing? thank you!!!

  12. Thank you so much for this video, Dr. Jones. I had a feeling that strong drugs, surgery, and prescription canned food was not the ONLY way to help a cat in need of a healthcare overhaul due to gingivitis/stomatitis. I believed there had to be supplemental ways an owner can help their pet to improve their health and quality of life; I'm glad I discovered your channel. Thank you, again.

  13. Hi Doc! This is so informative, thank you so much for sharing these tips! I'm planning on dabbing Aloe Vera gel to my cat. He's got gingivitis a d I'm so scared. I'm from the Philippines and I dont know where to ask but can you consider white rice an okay food to give to a cat with gingivitis? I am a little skeptic giving it to my cat. Hope you can help me Doc. Thank you in advance..
