Why do people become vets then because it’s inhumane to not treat an animal in distress… makes me sick how they can just send you away… it’s money upfront or we won’t see you… God knows they make a packet on us already … sickening!!! All about the money !!
I brought my furbaby to the vet and he was screaming at the top of his lungs from a seizure, then another then another, one after the other. Tiny seizure than a grand maul. I was told to come back in 2 hours and she would see me! She had to have heard my dog screaming in pain. I didn't see any other animals there in the office and the 2 examination rooms were both empty. There are no words I can say for this evil vet and I pray daily for her stepping down.
I lived close to a big vet concern, 5 animal doctors–
# you payed up front before the procedure..
# a single mother bought her snake bite dog to the vet- clinic.
and it died because she had no money up front to pay…
they were bastards// and the community stopped using this clinic..
shamed and photo them on Face book….
It's about money not animals
Where I live they do have emergency vets but the price is over the top and most people just don't have the money. I've always thought why doesn't a vet open a practice that hours are only after five pm to atleast midnight, and weekends they would have a booming practice and can keep cost down.

That's totally wrong, a lot of veterinarians, forget the animals has feelings to, I know I have rescued a lot, thank you Dr Jones for having a big ❤️ for animals,
One of my rats had a prolapsed uterus after hours. The emergency vet refused to see her because their exotic dr wasn't on call. I called every emergency vet in the state (and a few out of state 4 hours away) and no one had an exotic dr on call. I was told to wait until morning and take her to the closest dr that would take an exotic pet, and given nothing nor any instructions for helping her pain. She passed in my arms a few hours later.
They are not vets in my opinion if they refuse to see pet in emergency and should go find another job
My trust in the medical establishment is zero.
I took my brother in-laws dog who was very sick to a Humane Society. He was in the hospital and we were watching it. They would not see it because they said we owed money on our dogs surgery, but they were wrong. Our own dog had surgery and we had to take it back because the stitches were coming out, they restiched our dog and let us take her home. Then we got a bill for it. After talking to the Drs they waved it but it was still in the system. This little dog was so sick and they wouldn’t help it. It died a few weeks later.
MANDATE =NOT LAW. Just like general anesthesia is mandated = profit margin increases!
When my little dog became I'll with cancer and was feeling ver bad my regular Vet refused to see him. When she reneged a few days later, she refused to do any diagnostics. Handed us a laundry list of charges to do an exploratory surgery. Over $3000.00 When we found an animal ER, they took him immediately and unfortunately we couldn't save him. We never went to that Vet again and found a new one who is more than willing to help.
had two turn me down, cause they had to many patients. lost my cat trying to find one to take him to.

When your pet is having a medical emergency and you call your regular vet and are told " well, we close in ten minutes….."🤬
How i found out my bank account got hacked was the vet refusing to see my cat because i had no money in the account.
Where I live in Northern Minnesota, there are alot of Veterinary clinics,. Except it takes forever to get a regular appointment. In an emergency situation we have to drive 80+ miles to see a Vet on weekends and after hours. I don't understand why they don't take turns???,or they say we are not taking new patients. 😿
This is a huge problem in Ontario with regards to retaining competent veterinarian care for horses!
And I verbally let these vets have it for their lack of caring.
It happened to me with my newly adopted cat. No one would take new clients. After having to send photos of his bleeding wound they wrote back it was a non emergency. I was forced to figure it out on my own. Thankful for my herbal education it gave me the confidence to help him. Gave him CBD to calm his anxiety from abrupt changes, bought a cone to keep him from chewing his tail… and kept his wound clean so it wouldn’t get infected. I even found a diagnosis online that Siamese breeds have very often that involves mutilation of the tail. It took about a month to recover and now we redirect his behavior. It’s been a year and he’s doing great. I’m greatly disillusioned by vet care and human care in this country. I saved hundreds of dollars and they probably would’ve wanted to amputate his tail.
We live in a small town of 20,000 people. There are four veterinary clinics here, but no emergency care and the vets are unwilling to collaborate to provide a rotation to cover care. The community is now trying to recruit a vet to strictly provide emergency care to our community and two other neighboring communities so that the animals in our area can receive care in an emergency. It’s pretty crazy because given the number of vets we have in would only mean working one weekend about every 12 weeks.
