  1. I remember few years back my dad would get heaps of this fish heads especially snappers cause there were so cheap but now the price is getting more expensive since a lot of people are buying them now especially us asians

  2. Good for who? At the current rate the ocean will be void of life by 2048 and currently 2/3 of the ocean is collapsed or on the brink of collapse fishing does nothing but destroy the ocean. And when the ocean dies we die. Stop eating animals and save the planet. Dairy alone is destroying New Zealand’s rivers and water system

  3. Really…fish heads. Already 2021. Asians has beating this fish head, bones, tails and evrything including guts to there plates way back when dinosaurs even roam the earth. 😂

  4. Nose to tail for all animals. It's a modern problem the obsessionover muscle meat only. Historically all tribal people use whole animal nutrition. We have lost touch as we no longer need to source our own food to survive. We can pop down the store and get it packaged and ready to eat.

  5. What a great story. My wife and kids were at a local pier when a fishing charter came back and they were just dumping snapper frames. We asked for them and bought home a heap. We made fish stock and soup, curry and Thai style fish cakes. Unbelievable how much was getting wasted either through ignorance or laziness.

  6. I’m Asian and growing up in NZ in the 90s, my mum could get fish heads, fish roe (from fishmongers), ox tails, offals (from butchers) for free or next to nothing.
Often they used to give us extras coz they didn’t know what to do with them.
It’s good to see that now pakeha and other NZers are appreciating these “offcuts”, and realise that they can be used for creating beautiful and tasty dishes!
