  1. I began giving this to my 11 1/2 yr old Shepherd/ Wolf and he has had very bad diarrhea. Is this normal? Is this a known side effect of the extract? What can I give him to stop it so he can get back to normal bowel movements? It does no good to treat one problem only to get another.

  2. Thank you thank you – I want to give my pug as much of fighting chance and if you say it helps I am going to give 12 wks and do my own research – I sorry to say I can’t afford everything thing that is said to help but I got him everything that was proven to help – and I trust you I been watching u awhile and you a huge help!

  3. hi been using Lions mane on my 10yr hunterway for around 8 weeks is this safe to use long term?, not sure if it's working for his back leg, but want to continue on.

  4. 5. Just found your channel, awesome…my10yr hunterway has developed these issues while walking now. Thanks so much for this info. Will give you a update in a few months.

  6. Recently, my dog was diagnosed with hip displasia. The vet did the same test you did with your dog and there was the same result (+x-ray). I became skeptical and tried lion's mane on my dog for nearly a month and the results were excellent. I will certainly continue to administer this supplement for another month to see the progress. Thank you!

  7. I recently started taking a freeze dried lions mane extract, but turns out I’m allergic to fungi/moulds. So I might give what’s left to my 15 year old mini foxie. But not sure about the dosage. Because it’s freeze dried the texture is like coarse sand – not like the capsules in your video.

  8. If there's no adverse side effects then adding some lions mane to your large breed's diet should potentially function as a preventative and potentially just beneficial for development overall right? I'd imagine it'd be better to avoid getting it (edit*: DM and DP) rather than treating it after the fact.

  9. Wow is this timely for my family. My husband has been dealing with severe sciatica for two weeks now. I think there is a disc pressing on a nerve or possibly muscle swelling impacting the nerve. We've tried so much with little relief. I worry that we need to get the pressure off that nerve quickly before possible long term nerve damage occurs. Tried the urgent care clinic, ice/heat chiropractor, inversion table, tens unit and we are waiting on a package to arrive with a device that stimulates/strengthens back muscles to help with spacing and alignment. Never heard of Lions Mane before. Will be doing my research very soon. Feel so bad for our furry family when thinking about their silent suffering with this condition. They can't even tell us they hurt like hell.

  10. I have a puppy, GSD, we thought had hip dysplasia initially. I rescued him so it's not known if he was ill treated or genetic. We took him to the vets, 3 xrays, thorough checks, were done n it was confirmed he has spinal cord damage. Despite this he plays with our doberman, they play football, he literally runs around like a lunatic, you would not think he had the ailment, he jumps up, is very playful and extremely alert. I'm going to try this, safe no adverse side effects. Thankyou!

  11. Hey doc
I have a 14 year old brown lab. He has a lot of bumps on his body and he's getting up there but I want to ask you if cbd oil will help him as he is now struggling to get up steep stairs. How much and how often should I give him the oil ? Thank you for your amazing videos!!

  12. Great news! I'm already taking Lion's Mane myself for cognitive function – do you believe that this may also be beneficial for dementia in dogs? I'm going to start giving this to my 13 yr young JRT – he was recently diagnosed with diabetes, but is otherwise in good health.

  13. Question: my 13yr old shihztu Is having sleep apnea seizures only when he’s sleeping he is on blood pressure medicine very low-dose. He does have an enlarged heart with a large heart murmur and is on heart meds. But nothing seems to stop the seizures in his sleep. Only in his sleep He stops breathing and then he goes into a seizure and we are literally staying awake to keep him alive, we don’t know what to do and neither do vets.

  14. Would you recommend taking it as prevention? I give one capsule per day to my newly rescued pup. He is about 4yo , 60lbs, switched him to raw immediately after the rescue. Doing great, but I like to prevent instead of curing. Thank you!😍

  15. Now I got a question my mums dog he is a chow chow I guess hes always had a bit of a limp since he was a puppy but it just seems like its gotten worse as the years pass he is 7 now I always thought maybe its hip dysplasia but I just don't know. Hes been on gabapentin from the vet 1 in morning and 1 at night but I got my mum to try the 95% curcumin for night time. Problem has been his left back foot wants to turn inwards I don't know how long to try the 95% curcumin for or change to something different?

  16. Thank you! My dog has this. I just heard about Turkey tail mushroom yesterday and now lions mane today! I also use my Scenar device regularly (biofeedback device) good multi vitamin, probiotic and enzymes because his digestion is very delicate. So he is up and down at the moment.

  17. Thank you for those information. I have a mini Doxie and have had 2 that suffered with disc prolapse. Their outcome wasn't good. I'm so glad to have this tip for my current baby. Thank you ❣️🙏❣️
