  1. Hi Dr Jones. I found all the supplements in this video, but some of them are in a different presentation. Can you please let me know better the rates to calculate how much should I give for my four paws friend? Thank you so much for your videos; you are definitely saving lives.

  2. My dog just got diagnosed with DCM. She has eaten grain free dog food since a puppy. She is 7. I just found our 3 days ago she has this. Her Pro BNP is over 10,000. No symptoms yet.
Her breed combination is lab, golden and boxer. Her mom was half lab and half boxer, her dad was half lab and half golden retriever.

    😥

  3. Thank you for all the great information . I’m a little confused about a couple things though. You recommend amounts of Hawthorn and dandelion leaf extracts in ml based on weight but you don’t say what the potency of the product your using or what the mg’s of them would be per pound of body weight. The one I have are both 1000 mg per ml but I see different brand have different amounts per ml.
    Thanks again,

  4. I just recently started treating two of my dogs with Hawthorn extract. This morning there was a mix up and our 13yo 15lb dachshund mix got both doses equaling 2ml. It was his first feeding and dose of the day. His last dose of a 1/2ml was 10pm last night. Should I be worried or need to take immediate measures?? Any info would be very appreciated.
    Thank you,

  5. Hi doctor, my beagle is just 3 and coughs once a day or max twice. We found out he has DCM, weighs 18kg and is active. I’m devastated. What is the mg equivalent of the hawthorn dosage, we haven’t started any heart meds yet. Are these natural alternatives or supplements to conventional heart meds. Plz let me know what the mg/pound dosage is for hawthorn

  6. What to give for cough due to trachea collapse in 10 pound dog that's natural and how do we obtain all these natural meds we see the doctor use. I wish he would sell them on his web site .l have no idea where to buy???

  7. Hi Dr. Jones! I was wondering if I could request a video please? Your channel has been so helpful to me. I’d really like to know your recommendations for Cushings in dogs please. My dog’s mum has just been diagnosed- we’re researching it with her human, but we’re wondering if there’s anything preventative to do for her pups because of the genetic correlation. Her’s is caused by her pituitary gland and she doesn’t appear to have a tumor.
I’d be so grateful for any advice available. Thank you again for all of your wonderful advice. My cat in particular has benefitted a lot from your constipation videos.

  8. Hi there Dr. Jones! I absolutely love your channel! I've been subscribed for some years and find it very helpful.
I have an almost 5 yr. old Maltese/Bichon Mix weighing about 11lbs. Unfortunately, she has a urinary tract problem where I was told she cannot tolerate high amounts of protein. Every so often she tends to spot bleed at the end of her urine stream. She's given antibiotics for the infection and placed on prescribed food. Well, as of late, not even the prescribed food is working. Do you have any dog food recipes and/or supplements you can recommend? I'm fed up with pumping her with antibiotics and giving her nasty gelatinous food.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have. A video would be great!
Oh, and Tula is the best!!! Love her!!!

  9. Hi Doc! I cannot afford go to vet, but I just want to ask, my cat vomited a yellow foam. What does it mean? Your answer is really a lot for me. Thank you sir.

Edit: My cat died just a few hours ago. It hurts, really hurts. I don't know if I can move on.

  10. How many things can a dog be on. Mean supplements, herbs, medicine,? Does the meds have to be given away from herbs? I personally give meds and herbs 20 min apart to an hr. But does it matter

  11. Good information. I lost a much beloved Doberman a couple of years ago to DCM. She ate grain free for a number of years but not at the time of her death. She passed pretty quickly after diagnosis. My current Doberman does not carry the DCM genetics so hopefully she’ll be DCM free. Our vet told us she recently saw a 10 week old Dobie die from DCM. Her mother ate grain free while pregnant with this pup. Dog food manufacturers shouldn’t be allowed to manufacture foods that are dangerous.

  12. We've had 2 dogs die of DCM. How do they gather the numbers for the statistics? I now know about Hawthorn, Dandelion, and TAURINE! It was a rough way to go. I wish we had known more. Plus the vet said it wasn't their hearts, but it was. They were eating grain-free foods. We've since incorporated a raw diet. Love you Dr Jones.

  13. I do wish we could figure out just what to feed to give our babies a happy, healthy, long and loved life. Why- why-why are our animals sooo itchy when we feed them regular kibble or even meat based home cooked diets but then when we switch to grain free to control the miserable itching, skin darkening and smell, they experience even more serious health issues. We love these animals and only want to know how to reasonably and affordably give them a wonderful life.

  14. The amount of Taurine they are saying to use for confirmed DCM is through the roof. All the otc supplements out there are likely just for prevention as they do not contain enough taurine in a handful of capsules.

  15. my female 12 yr old dog refuses to eat , blood work is all good and had an xray to see if there was a blockage…still nothing but turns her nose up to everything even her favorites…any suggestions will be helpful…thanks for caring!!!! I've tried heating it to make it smell better…everything she just isn't eating losing weight also…my vet says she eat when she hungry but I'm not seeing that,

  16. So coincidental that you covered his topic! Was reading the research on this just 2 or 3 days before I saw your video. Very interesting info. I live in SA and am developing a food supplement in the form of a gravy. No, I'm not a vet. What is your take on bone marrow? I have read so much and bottom line it appears to have incredible properties especially the marrow from beef bones (grass fed cows). Only thing is it is very rich so I am just working out how much or how little to include in this food supplement (comes in the form of a gravy concentrate.) Info and research is very limited but if one looks at the nutritional benefits it is quite incredible – it's sort of overlooked? Just interested to hear your experience with this?

  17. Cavalier King Charles spaniels have MVD. Wild Salmon oil, CoQ10 and L-carnitine (easily found by feeding cooked chicken liver) and taurine.

I feed Taste of the Wild and my cavaliers, who were line bred with my first ones who were dead by the age of 8 and fed food from petsmart, but my second pair were 15 when they died. My current one is from a different line and breeder is 12. Though deaf, she still confounds vets who expect heart disease. When I was getting her certified for breeding, a well known cardiologist who, according to some breeders, always heard a murmur, listened to mine for about 5 minutes, got a second stethoscope and listened for another 5 minutes and I was terrified to hear this almost $10,000 dog had heart disease at two years of age. But, he told me this was the nicest heart he had ever heard.
Bred her 3 times at great expense. And it turned out she was infertile.
She will be my last dog. I have 8 parrots now and find them much better company.

  18. Maybe we should feed all dogs properly. Give them meat, eggs, fat from meat, tablescraps. Tablescraps used to be a bad word. They supplement with the needed taurine an amino acid. We give our dogs a raw egg daily and leftovers from the table such as chicken or beef. Raw stew beef at least once a week. I try not to eat too many grains myself because they are sprayed with pesticides and herbicides. Too bad. I love bread and pasta. Growing food isn't what it used to be.

  19. My little girl is on dreadful meds..she's 13.years old bad heart..I had her meds compounded..but it is so e xpensive…im giving her fresh and Hills diet kidney..where do I get these vitamins u are using please.

  20. My dog is 15 lbs he is a 12 yr old Chinese Crested. He was diagnosed with CHF just recently I took him in bc he fainted, he was fine before that, he showed no signs of being ill.
His on lasix and vetmedin & enalapril, it's not really working I think they need to up the dosage. He is getting the same amount that was given to my tiny 5lbs chihuahua. That doesn't make sense to me.
Anyways, I bought Some supplements from a company in CT. I also bought The COQ 10.
So I broke open the capsule and put some in his food.
    Is that ok to do?
I also been making his food at home and been doing a bunch of research on recipes.
    I made 1 batch with pea's…
Then come to find out peas are not good 🤦‍♀️
I'm trying to help my guy in anyway I can.
It's very hard bc everything with him is fine…
His brain say- yes all is good let's go to the park, he is happy, however his heart is not.
I'm so afraid that he will faint again. That was very scary.
Anyways, thank you & I appreciate all you do.
    Sorry so long
    Gwen

  21. I home cook for my dogs. When I add grains my one dog gets inflammation. As soon as I stop the grains the inflammation goes away. Now I'm concerned. Does he need grains?

  22. My shihtzu was diagnosed a few months back. He was on grain free dog food for years. I'm very angry about that to. But the only time he has issues is when he's sleeping and only then he will have a seizure that we thought was syncope. Now we're trying to figure that out. It cuts my soul in half to watch him to this and it makes me so angry that these innocent little animals have to go through this. Our baby has been on all this until the seizures. Hawthorn And Dandilion and Coq10 I felt really helped but like I said, now the seizures. Is it safe with Vetmeddin and Lasix and blood pressure meds?( I forgot the name) We love your videos and have learned so much. Thank you.
