  1. when i was a boy i lived in ft. worth texas. on a very special occasion we would go to bluebonnet circle and eat at caro's restaurant. they had puffy chips and salsa. bite off the corner of the chip and the little pocket would hold more salsa. as an adult i went back there and ate when i could until they closed. thank you for what you do.

  2. I thought it was interesting that no one felt the need to claim they’d invented it. You don’t often see that in these sort of situations. People often have friendly feuds with this kind of thing. But these people, while proud of their food and history, were humble enough not to claim that their family came up with it.

  3. Here's my argument I'm from Belize central America since I was a kid say 1980s we've been eating SALBUTES (SAL-BOO-TESS), So that's what I've called it up to now 2022.

To tell you then truth from someone who has been living here in San Antonio since i was kid (im 30) i have had the puffy taco less thAn 10times…… 2 in which i had made em myself at home but yea the puffy taco supposedly was invented here but its not the go to for every San Antonians….. i would say the go tos would be the carne guisada and the bean and cheese and the enchiladas….. this is what we rate our restaurant on….. they pretty easy to make if you have proper picadillo….
