  1. I want to know about how to feed cats raw or make food for them. I feed my dog raw, I do a raw chicken drumstick and pour hot vegetable pure'e soup I make a batch for him once a week with all my veggie scraps, pour over the chicken to warm it up a bit, let it sit 5-10 min to cool down, I also add a couple spoons of whatever grain we have around like rice or quinoa or a little beans. Sometimes a teaspoon of sesame oil or olive oil, flaxseeds, things like that we have around. He loves it, his skin has become so soft over the past year and also he does not smell bad anymore. I want my cat to be healthy like him but I do not know how to do it.

  2. I make my own raw food from human grade raw meat. No problems in 8yrs. Recipe from Dr Lisa Pierson. My 16yr old cat's life was saved by switching from a so called veterinary diet which caused him to get feline diabetes to a 100% raw diet. That was 8yrs ago.

  3. When I married my husband he had a male cocker spaniel mix that he called his son. My hubby would fix a plate of home cooked food for himself and one for his dog. The dog lived to be almost nineteen and could have live longer but had dementia and deafness and vision loss. But up until his last year of life he was very healthy.

  4. People tell me all the time that they don't feed their pet people food. My favorite response is pet food is made from people food. They literally think that pet food is grown and produced for pets.

  5. Your dog looks like she finds you interesting 🧐. My cat has had diarrhea all over my carpet for weeks. I can tell he’s in pain when he poops, too. My vet did a bunch of tests and sold me a bag and a case of food. Nothing changed! We got a new bag of a different food (Gastro. Biome) and still no change. We have a new carpet shampooer though! So, I googled it. I’ve found several holistic recipes for cats and I’m getting out the food grinder! I can’t wait around while my little friend gets sicker and continues to suffer.

  6. If you know what's been going on with food production for humans, you also know about animals. All of the toxins are purposeful, pay attention to where your food comes from, take a magnet to the store when you shop. I'm vegetarian now because of several reasons, but I certainly don't trust where the meat comes from, how the animal is raised, the animal more than likely lived in a abusive/cruel factory farm – you're eating that! Your animal will also be eating that! Can do raw if you know where it comes from, I also muscle test in what I eat. So test the food, I also pray over it and I would cook it if I'm not sure. I don't feed my dog 4-legged meat anyway, but he does get chicken/turkey/fish. If you know what's going on around the world now then you know, if not, do the research and don't use google.

  7. I think there's pros and cons.
I use kibble for my mastiff however I also give treats of raw by mixing it in his dry.
If I use raw, like liver & tripe & turkey neck, I make sure to purchase in my butcher (human grade).
If it's kibble I just try to research and find best or made in USA. However this isn't fool proof. A lot of proteins or added products can possibly be made in China for example. Even a Costco premium dog food has some ingredients from over seas but they don't have to display that on their labels.
So many premium and even raw dog food still get recalls all the time! Come on FDA.

  8. I have been a raw feeder for 30 yrs. Never had a problem, quite opposite. Sick dogs got well, and well fast. Old dogs had less arthritic issues, and less cancers and immune issues. I'd be more concerned with human food, but that is of course not of importance to the fda. Kibble constantly has issues, poisons being a huge issue. I'd never go back to kibble, ever.

  9. Thank you Dr. Jones for caring so much about our pets and the work, time, and research you put into keeping us updated. I appreciate you and am so glad I found you. Tula is so precious and just adores you.❤

  10. I have 3 dogs.. never in their life have they had kibble! Never in their life will they ever have kibble as long as I can help it! I’m also very careful what raw I feed them! Do your research!

  11. I'm at a total loss, I seriously do not know what to do. We feed our dogs Diamond Naturals Lamb and Rice kibble, but that is not all the time. I cook for them using Dr. Jones's recipes, they love that, I just have to adjust the protein for my little MinPin because she's older and has kidney issues. They all get Dr. Jones supplements as well. They really don't like the kibble so when I have to use it I have to mix in a bit of Dr. Jones Ultimate Canine, then they will eat it. They also get a bit of local raw natural honey, the beekeeper is a friend of ours who lives in our town. I guess I just needed to share, I'm really upset.

  12. Hi I'm new to your channel and I'm already hooked, I love your videos I tried your remedies with the black tea and WOW!!!!! It really helped my kittens with their eyes, Thank you. Is it normal for my kittens to be sucking on their siblings hair. My kittens do that with each other. Is that normal?

  13. Sad it can still healthier than most dog kibble. Let’s face it big companies only care about money no matter how good and convincing their ads and commercials are.

I love this channel, as mentioned before as a previous vet tech I love his exposure if you will. ALL vets should care more about the pet than the money in their pocket.

  14. If you cook home made dog food how many times should a dog be feed? It seems like the weight was not staying up like on dry kibble!! I put water in the dry kibble, plus cook liver hearts and chicken gizzards

  15. What's really amazing is that commercial raw dog food is more expensive than human food! Then add the higher sales tax rate on pet food in most states vs human food. Why not just make it yourself? But don't forget the supplements.

  16. What the?!!! 🤯🧠🤯🐾🐾 ( my dogs will kill and eat moles, squirrels, opossums and birds, if they can catch them. Of course, I don’t like it but what can I do? They are fed regular meals daily. Dogs will be dogs ). 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

  17. Although some are touting raw for pets….I always shied away from it. I cook for my dog and I will give her raw bones with the marrow and I will cook an occasional egg and put egg in her cooked food. I will giver her some hamburger, raw, that I am cooking for myself, never chicken. She is healthy but she does have allergies to something outside….haven”t been able to put my finger on what is causing it but I know that what I am feeding her is human grade and won’t hurt her

  18. I buy dehydrated raw dog food from "Visionary Keto Pet Foods" online and they have really high standards. They say that while they can't certify that the meat is raised on organic pasture because they get it from more than one small farm they did say that they know their farmers and that the animals are raised that way also no artificial hormones, antibiotics, steroids, or GMOs. It's easy to use and yes I do wash my hands after handling it 😉 Another great company that makes and packages your food when ordered (order ahead of time) is "Dogs for the Earth" love them too.

  19. hey doc, been away awhile glad youre still here, haha….been feeding my dog fresh raw meat, same that i eat, and he's doing great…sometimes i cook it with a little veggie, but mostly raw with bone appropriate to his size…i feel kibble is put out there for convenience, not for health of dog….would be like humans eating only cereal everyday…with synthetic vitamins and other additives…lets call it the SADFD…standard american dog food diet…

  20. I feed my dogs and cats meat raw and cooked meat from whatever comes off the reduced supermarket shelves marked consume within twenty four hours and I have been for 21 years, the only time I have been to the vets with them was to have one of them neutered. I have had many dogs over that time and they all lived a long and healthy life. DOGS EAT RAW MEAT they are not vegans a vegetarians because their owners are.

  21. My dog was eating raw everyday until the pandemic kicked in so I was forced to buy some kibble dog food. My raw food for him was organic beef, lamb, chicken and turkey from mostly Costco and Aldi’s, and when I couldn’t find organic I made sure it was clean as possible with no hormones and antibiotics! I tried different kibble brands from pet stores but I eventually went back to my favorite dog food company that my other fur babies were raised on and that was the The HonestKitchen. Their human grade food are made in a human facility—the first to do so, after fighting with Congress. Now they have their own human facility for their dog food line. They have added a lot more variety to their food. I have also tried Dr. Karen Becker’s raw food too. My dog loves all of my choices of food I feed to him. I have not gone back to one hundred percent of my real raw food but he gets it on Mondays Wednesday and Saturday’s . Tuesday and Thursday are Clusters/ not kibble. Friday is fish day Costco salmon, sardines and mackerel, I found organic mussels at Aldi’s and I recently ordered some sardines in water and bone in from Amazon for him. Sunday is water fast. Sometimes I may give him goat yogurt and kefir on fasting Sunday. My dog dog gets a variety of fresh food and organic fruits and vegetables. I also juice his fruits and vegetables and mix in his food. Bottom line is that I am not going to buy low grade human food for my dog because I may want to make a turkey burger for myself before feeding my dog his portion. Think about it, if you feed your pets garbage you will be spending a lot more money on Vet bills.

  22. I think that the "One disease, one diagnosis, one cure era" is over. People should look at the "terrain". All day long we and other animals breath in hundreds of millions harmful parasites, bactiria, virus and spores. It is when you badly upset the gut terrain and mucus membranes inparticular, that many disease take hold, this is not a new view, it was first voiced in 1835 but was drowned out by the already establishing heros, Pasteur and Koch who are now known to be fraudulent money and fame, grabbing criminals. Read it up. Once the gut is compromised with antibiotics it's a field day for those bacteria etc, that are normally held at bay by a healthy system

  23. I read once that the way factories butcher their animals allows the bacteria from the large intestine to get on the animals skin and then the skins transfer the bacteria to the muscle meet. That is why muscle meets can contain E. coli, which is found only in the large intestine. Also, cattle that are fed a natural diet and not grains and animal byproducts do not have E. coli in their guts. Nature is best! The natural diet for dogs is raw meat.
