Funny to blur out the aircraft registrations. Knowing the school, it is super easy to find all their registrations. Also with tower you hear Zulu Papa Victor. And then in one shot they even forget to blur out C-GZPV. Nice looking aerobat btw.
I feel like a lot of people have unrealistic expectations from a small aircraft like this. They expect it to be something like an executive jet they've seen on TV or 1st class on a 747. Small aircraft like this are loud and minimal, and react strongly to even small atmospheric blurps. They are built with function (which includes safety and reliability) in mind, with comfort being a distant second. This can give the impression that even the best maintained aircraft isn't airworthy.
Some reviews are from competitors, just keep that in mind. And most reviews on nightclubs are from patrons who were a-holes who got served, clocked and thrown out. Usually.
"They scream at students and instructors…." it's obvious the instructors/pilots aren't the issue but the owners/management who seem to have anger issues and blame everyone but themselves for a poor quarter most likely
This show proves that there are a lot of haters in the world that will give bad reviews out of jealousy because they're miserable and don't want to see others succeed, even though they are sometimes true but usually aren't.
almost every flight school uses older craft. I’m hoping to buy myself a plane from the 1940s after I’ve got my ticket.
With a new 172 running north of $300,000 and the immaculate care taken of these aircraft it makes no sense to learn on new unless you’re at some part 141 school with a fleet.
As a instrument rated private pilot I have dealt with many instructors over the past 18 years and I have had both excellent and terrible flight instructors and I recently dealt with a horrible instructor when I did my BFR a few months back.
From this video Pedro is a excellent detail oriented flight instructor who I would fly with without any doubt. When I am a pic I take things very seriously and even though I am only a private pilot I believe in the sterile cockpit rule and the only thing on your mind is safely operating the aircraft. Too many pilots and instructors become complicit with routines and skip important steps which Pedro didn't do. Pre flight inspections are often rushed with only the minimum steps required perfomed.
I believe the reviews concerning the condition of the aircraft are due to a lack of understanding by the customers. Most students are judging the condition of the aircraft based on how nice the exterior paint is and by the condition of the interior of the aircraft which are not indications if the aircraft's airworthiness. The simple fact is any aircraft used by a flight school is going to have terrible resale values due to how they are operated so paint and interior are not important compared to how the aircraft has been mechanically maintained. The aircraft used in this video is a Cessna 152 which is the staple of flight schools. The first aircraft I owned was a 1977 152 which was 30 years old and the time I purchased it and it was a ugly plane with gold and brown colors reminiscent of the 70's. Mechanically it was in amazing condition being a one owner aircraft since new with low time components. That aircraft had 2431 hours total time on airframe with 31 hours on the factory reman Lycoming O-235 engine. If I wouldn't of purchased the aircraft it would of went to one of a half dozen flight schools interested in buying it but the original owner preferred that the aircraft was purchased by a pilot who would use and enjoy the aircraft since he was not able to fly anymore due to his age and health. I flew that plane for 3 years as I slowly cosmetically improved the plane as finances permitted, those improvements did nothing to improve the reliability or airworthiness of the aircraft. When I sold that aircraft after 5 years of ownership I passed it on to another young pilot purchasing his first aircraft. Flight schools love them due to their low acquisition cost along with low maintenance and operating costs. It is not uncommon to see aircraft for sale that were used for flight training with well over 10,000 hours on the airframe.
Honestly I’ve very rarely seen poor reviews actually reflect the reality of any particular business, it’s almost always either someone getting offended and feeling slighted for common and/or necessary practices that they personally don’t like, ignored any attempts by the owners to make it right or as is common ) and in anonymous especially) reviews, people are more likely to post one while pissed off and motivated to do so rather than

Can I express concern that you found not one but two flying schools that qualified for your show?
a note to the editor… 9:26 when blurring, blur from the first frame or even to be safe, from the frame before the frame in question. lol.
looks fun 😀
You know the instruct is a professional if hes got the Bose headphones.

this videos would only work if you secretly filmed. Of course everyone is going to act nice if they know they are being filmed

Pedro was awesome. I wanna fly with this dude.
Does Vic Berger edit these?

So if he just turns the wrong way in panic they both die?
