If it happens to pets with owners who can contain their plastic waste, image sea animals who have no way to avoid this human produced waste material dumped into their environment nor get assistance when they are suffocating or strangled by plastic waste!
My cat loves plastic he always chewing on it I have no idea how she gets it I get cut it rip it put in in my purse when I am in the same room wakes me up in the middle of the night him chewing on it. I have had to chase him around the house and take plastic from his mouth when I clean I find little piles of plastic that he's hidden he is 15 years old now. I have been a vet tech for over years ,so I do sometimes neurotically look after all my babies. One Doc told me that it's the texture and to get cat grass but my other one our allergic ugh any suggestions anyone. 🤪☺️
Our son lost his first dog after living on his own to a snack food bag. Still haunts him to this day, a sad experience for someone to go through. Since then, we cut all bags in half before throwing them out along with the plastic soda bottle rings and maybe we can save some wildlife too. I'm glad that you've addressed this issue because many people are unaware and it's a tragic way to lose a pet, not to mention how they spend their last few minutes of their life.
My two little ones can’t reach the trash can, but the bigger one can however she never has, but there’s always a first time! I’d never given this snack bag suffocated thing a thought, 😩 thank you for sharing.
Great idea about getting in the habit of cutting a hole in the end of plastic bags before throwing away. Never thought of this hazard for dogs. Thanks doc.
I have a counter surfer and she's gotten an empty baggie from the back before and shredded it. Thank goodness she was ok. But now I have a puppy and the 2 of them have played tug-of-war with the potty pads while I was gone recently. It was shredded and the puppy could have inhaled the smaller plastic pieces.
Never thought about that… thank you! P.S. Your dogs are amazing co-stars! 🏆
I cut up plastic bags and jar rings or soda six pack rings up thinking of animals at the dumps.. gotta help our pets
Thank You Dr.Jones for this Life-saving information!👍🐶🐕✝️🙏

Thanks as always Dr. Jones. So nice to see Pippy in the demonstration and of course lovely little Tula
would this apply to flat faced dogs like bulldogs and pugs?
Dr. Would you please do a video on false pregnancy in dogs! What helps, what hurts and should we be concerned. Could it be do to some dog food also?
That is so sad. Thank you for sharing and how to precent and dog cpr.
Thank you for the CPR instructions. I hope I never have to use them. However it's better to know and not need them to need and not know.
Gosh !! Thank you as others have said. We learn such valuable information and "how to"s" from you, Doc. 👍♥️

Thanks so much for bringing awareness. We don't think of things like this happening. Also the fact we should as pet owners know first aid.❤

Dr Jones❤ Thanks!!😢
Just like the danger of plastic bags to children back in the day. Be vigilant!
