I much prefer ice water be involved in making my hash rather than butane. Even if you get a little less hash from the process or it is not quite as strong Ice water has got to have a much more natural appeal in product marketing than butane !

There are plenty of people who prefer that kind of hash to an ultra-refined oil or shatter too. The hash has more flavor than a more finely refined concentrate, & it's more chemically complex & desirable than just plain THC. I guess whether someone wants shatter or water hash depends a lot on tolerance & how much it takes to get an effect.
