  1. I'm confused about dosage, in another video on your channel about allergies you state 2mg per pound, in this video the dosage equates to 10mg per pound, my dog is 75lb so it is a difference of 300mg per day vs 1500mg per day. That is a big difference. I'm erring on the side of caution and using the lesser dosage but wondering which is correct? thank you

  2. My 11 month old pup (pitbull terrier) will scratch and bite herself until she bleeds because i believe she’s allergic to grass. I’ve tried sprays , dermatologist shampoo and pills . Will Apple peels help with how bad she scratches ? HELP Dr.Jones, I NEEE IT !

  3. Do you , or anyone here , have a source for freeze dried organ meats? I am just looking for connivence for my dogs homemade BARF diet, or when traveling. Much gratitude!! Our pets deserve holistic vets, homemade food , and informed pet parents.

  4. Wondering if this would help mine. Mine lick the tops of their legs to the point where they turn a little red. A white black landseer/newfie I had (she passed June of this year) and a white red border mix I have now does this. the blood on the legs is light in color. He's flea-less.

  5. Any suggestion for a dog who can only eat fish. Our baby is allergic to most proteins but fish. It has been really hard to find dog food for him. We do allergy shots every quarter and medicate shampoo every three days. All because of food.

  6. Two questions . . . What about the other ingredients in this brand, namely citrus bioflavonoids, bromeliad, and rutin? Are those all okay for my dog? Also, does the video have a math error? Based on your explanation, your dog should get 400mg a day total, right? (100mg per 10 lbs. of dog, twice a day)

  7. Got a couple of Golden Doodle pups that are constipated and maybe a few of the other one's are also. The two that are the worst are the smallest ones. Also have some Golden Retriever pups might be experiencing same problem. But the two smallest Golden Doodles have me concerned about them. All pups are 4 to 5 weeks old. Any home remedies I can use or should I take them to the vet?

  8. Question about dog allergies. Did a good trial, and eventually my dog was down to eating just turkey, which she had never eaten before, and her allergy issues didn’t go away. Does this mean she is most likely allergic to something in the environment vs food? Any advice would be appreciated! I’ve tried quercitin and other natural supplements before without much luck

  9. Speaking of apples, any ideas to deter my service dog from swallowing crab apples, which can be dangerous to dogs? He ended up sick last month with two vet visits. He NEVER touches anything on the ground but he keeps sneaking them no matter how closely he’s watched while he’s sniffing to go potty. We find evidence in his poop or puking. I’ve tried doing heavy leave it training with crab apples specifically. He’s had a great leave it since puppyhood and has been trained not to touch things on the ground as a service dog generally speaking — but they’re still dogs and may try at times. He understands not to touch the crab apples when I tell him not to, but I can’t anticipate every single crab apple in the grass and some sneak into his mouth — and he’s a Lab so they tend to swallow small things whole. He’s never had people food in his life either, which is common for service dogs who go in public places so they’re not begging in restaurants or eating things that fell on floors.

I’m kind of wondering why he’s attracted to a dangerous fruit specifically because then maybe I can get to the heart of stopping the problem. You’d think making himself sick would be enough to stop it, but I guess not unless he’s somehow made that association.

Any ideas that’ll deter him from thinking crab apples are yummy and for him? This is a good subject for anything outside a dog might be attracted to that can make them sick.

  10. I don't have a dog but my cat has the same type of environmental allergies and I give him bromelain and nettles. He wouldn't take the quercitin (nettles and quercetin are not for cats with kidney disease). They have helped him tremendously!

  11. My Amish neighbors make fresh apple juice and save me the pulp! I add about a 1/4 cup to the dogs home-prepared meals. They love it! I also use it in fresh salads and for cooking. It sure makes a difference in our allergies. If it's not available then we do use quercitin. Dr Jones, you are THE BEST!!!
