  1. So true about trying all types for example super lemon hase makes me mean as hell but give me some grandaddy purp makes me chill and sleepy gotta try em all. I try to stick
OG 's if I can find them

  2. Yet, Landrace Sativas still are much more enjoyable to me than landrace Indicas. There is a difference. Now, with modern hybrids, where strains are largely classified as Indica and Sativa based on "feel" them perhaps this is so. But with the landrace strains, I definitely feel a difference.

  3. THC is THC. 👍 I think indicas might be more couch lock because they age faster, go amber faster? There's also more vegetative matter with denser indica buds with less trichomes getting hit by the sun. Where as sativas take longer to age and put out a bit more heads per amount of leaf. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Hence the hybrids trying to get the best of both worlds; potency, weight, and speed. High THC indicas.

  4. Hey bro, i love your content, and i completely agree they're both the same. Most if not all plants nowadays are hybrids, we need not worry about characterization of cannabis. All i care about is the taste and the smell, treat it like a whiskey.

  5. The Colombian, Thai, Acupulco Gold and similar buds from the 70s were mostly considered Sativas. They had mostly a relaxing body buzz.
In my experience it wasn't until domestic Sinsemilla style plants started to appear that people started to talk about speedy 'brain' highs.
Somehow this seems to have evolved Indica body high, Sativa brain high but I think the real difference is between outdoor tropical sun vs more temperate sun or indoor lights, as well as harvesting timing and curing technique.
With all that though, I've seen 13 foot tall skinny monsters and 4 foot tall fat leafed dwarfs all kick out some nice buds.

  6. Maybe i missed this but what then gives you different experiences? Was it the terpenes? As, i always go for that couch lock, knock out strain which ate usually labelled indica or indica dominant hybrids. Haze strains always keep me up with racing thoughts and have tried nearly every haze going and get the same wakened nervous feeling from them. I was aware of this before i learned about indica and sativa, i just asked for a strain thats going to couch lock me. Used to love blueberry and skywalker for that reason (going back a few years now). Really interesting though. Its like the thc percentage doesn't dictate how stoned you get necessarily. Great channel btw 👍

  7. Amazing video !. A lot of strains in the Maritimes in Atlantic Canada I never heard of before cannabis was legalized in Canada. Not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing but the thing about weed that’s sold by the government. It’s so dried out when you get it that it basically crumbles to dust in your hands a lot of the time and it kind of makes you feel like you’re getting gypped plus the packaging is way too big and not very environmentally friendly very wasteful, I’m very glad marijuana is legalized in Canada but I don’t like that. It’s so dry and produces so much garbage I’d rather go to a first nations reserve and buy my way there because at least you know what you’re getting and it’s good quality cannabis for a decent price

  8. We know they are kinda the same things homie its the generic way we class the effects. Indica sleepy. Sativa buzzing like a cup of coffee. Man ive had some "sativa" strains that put me to bed not in the same way as an indica though these classes exist for a reason im willing to hear your arguments though a sativa strain that puts you to bed works in a different way to how a indica puts you to bed. Still alot of mysteries.

Like weed is one of the best Aphrodisiacs in my opinion for men and women it does alot of things im sure its going to be the future

  9. When looking for bud I don't generally follow the sativa/indica thing, it's mainly for growing per preference. I agree with the terpene profiles being more important, one thing to note is that I don't think many of us would disagree that some stabilised varieties of cultivars have a much greater chance to produce more of certain terpenes.

It's a shame that a lot of places there are being fake with their names. Here in Europe I was planning a trip to Amsterdam, and wanted to try Shantibaba's Black Widow (his original White Widow genetics refined), and he was more than happy to point me to a coffeeshop he believed still sold his genetics (via email). Very quick response too.

  10. I feel also it has to do with phenotypes . same strain, 2 different pheno's and the effects could be total opposites , or am I wrong ?also you can almost make a strain that might make you feel a little anxious more of a sleepy high if you grow it longer. Mostly amber trichomes will feel more like a indica , or grow it less, the effects will be more euphoric. I'm Growing a strain right now that my buddy bred and I tried the weed, it was more of a sativa so I'm gunna grow it longer and keep watching the trichomes. Cheers from Chicago 🍻

  11. Most definitely, I've gotten two separate strains and get home to find out they're damn near the same…..or even the same strains being completely different from what i could remember 😅

  12. I completely understand and have no reason to argue but Why do i get such munchies with “indica” type strains. …when I do not even notice what I am smoking ? So strange I love all of it regardless

  13. made up or changed strain labels by vendors make things worse.
i get it when people say: strain names dont mean sh*t.
    thank you for your work

  14. This is bs

    Sativa is totally crack weed

    Indica is indacouch

    I ain’t buyin this

I know what tf I smoke ok lol I always choose hybrid
    Indica

Why would I want coffee sativa crazy like sativa makes u smoke more cuz it u feel like not chill and then u think oh ima smoke more 😂 then your fucked with paranoia

  15. Usually, nervous insecure fearfull ppl dont like pure sativas no groundation high all in the head …..and ppl that need to be active and live, work, dont like heavy indicas ……i have one mother plant structure is sativa, but high is both kinds highs in same time imediate, even more to indica stone …so if some easy sativa lover smoke it he'll be not moving much and sorry, but happy …and i hade in past some indicas that almost hade no uplifting high just relaxment, and i've hade some indicas long ago, i stoped growing, beacuse they was too heavy stoner and too high for any norml life …i couldnt smoke more than 3 puffs of it and got completely wasted for 3-4 hours even longer, its for ppl in terminal ilnesses kind of weed ….i lost its genetics, i didnt like it …i balance mixing into nice around 50/50 hybreeds 20%+/- …..both worlds in balance …..where i live ppl mostly like heavy indicas and in some periods that was only thing u can buy so i started growing my own and selecting what i like ….big difference is between sativa and indica ….some sativas i hade no one would grow, they almost have no buds but is completely transparent and elongated ''buds'' that no one would buy by looks …but smell and aroma is out of this world, not contain spices or pine just creamy cake like and different fruits

  16. Wicked, makes sense. Esp goin from seeds from big shop/breeders, id buy packs of the same named plant and the plants wouldn look like each other, Nothern lights, Super Sk n Cheese. Id end up, if they were regular (id always choose if possible) breed them and choose the 2 that were really different from each parent. Had fun tho. I prefer dank to flavour so id always choose uk n dutch them days. A favourite was the old big buddha cheese(RIP)

  17. This is just wrong. Sativas have different terpenes than indica which give you a more uplifting high from limonene type strains and indica being myrcene dominant and sedative. Lineage and terpene makeup do coincide with each other. Indicas are Afghani and sativas are from the equator.
