  1. Dr Jones how would you treat the early stages of fanconi Symdrom? My boy sees a vet specialist and is under Dr gontos prodocal. Right now he's taking sodium bicarbonate tablets so his kidney won't become toxic . So far it seems to be working he's tested every few months with a gas blood test. But I would like to know how you would treat it.

  2. My boy has aquired fanconi Symdrom from chicken treats I bought from Walmart made in china they are still selling them. I have him under Dr gontos prodocal. Now I make his chicken treats with a dehydrator

  3. Dr. Jones, how do you feel about Trachea chews? or do you have a good chew I can offer my dogs? Thanks for all the info you provide to keep our furry children healthy and safe.

  4. ThAnks for all you do.

FYI: If you have a small dog, please be careful with dog bones and treats in general. I gave my dogs the Greenies dog treats for months. One day, I went to the restroom, while they were eating them. I came back and realized my dog was choking. I thought she was playing. But, I saw hair on my bed. I started the Heimlich maneuver on her. It took me like five minutes or more, to get it up. I’d hit her in the back then go back to H.M. My legs were like jelly, I was so nervous. I’ve probably said this here before. But, I try to warn people everywhere I go. After that, I break up all of their treats, no matter how small they come. Even though this particular treat was larger, as it got down to about an inch, is where she choked on it. It still gives me chills to think about it.

  5. I gove STELLAS FREEZE DRIED DOG FOOD AS A TREAT (found at Krisners)INDIVIDUSLLY THEY LOVE IT SUPER HEALTHY RAW FREEZE DRIED. DOESNT SMELL.
I FOUND FOR FUN ONLY QUESTIONABLE IS PEA PROTIEN CHICKPEAS NOT GOOD FOR DOG FOOD BUT THEY GET VERY LITTLE IT HAS PUMPKIN TURKEY CRUNCHY O'S IN PUMKIN LIKE A BIG CHERIO TOO.

  6. My dog loves the treats I make from your video, with your supplement in it! She's a 15 yr old Aussie and we don't buy treats anymore, I make them with organic peanut butter and applesauce. And, I cook her food, no more dry food from a bag, it takes little time to throw it together in a big pot and cook it up for a few days. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!

  7. I really think you could have done a lot more to encourage pet owners to come off of this animal junk food that is being sold in the states and here in the UK It is not just Chinese products. Millions of tonnes of dry junk food is being sold. I told the Manager of my local B&M store here in the UK that some of the products he was selling are dangerous… Now months later they are still on the shelves.

  8. Why don't these company's care about the ingredients they use in their food??? I know they're greedy and want to make as much profit as possible but in the long run if they help keep the dog/cat alive longer they'll increase their long term profits! If the only motivating factor is making as much money as possible it makes more sense to protect the pets from harm and an early death to sell more product!

  9. Tried those 'Oinkies' made my Lab up chuck. Threw the rest out. Dr. Jones you have become a source of power for our house. We have many pets. 6 cats and two dogs. It is rewarding to learn from you ……. Many Thanks. God Bless

  10. Canadian treats do not have to put made in china on their packaging so I advise you not to give your dogs Canadian treats. Waggin Trains chicken Jerky dog treats which are made in china, have also been linked to Kidney failure in dogs, that has also caused many dog death in America. They have not been pulled from the shelves in America. Why has Purina, and store not pulled them from them from there shelves? Because most Americans do not yet know that these treats are making dogs sick and Purina and other dog treats made in china, are very popular and they can make money off the consumers. Watch a CBS Market Place video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlxCjjClDnY&t=475s

  11. I make sure everything is made in the USA and I only buy duck jerky that is a more expensive than usual and there is 3 ingredients, duck, vegetable glycerin, and salt! Omg just was reading the bag and it says made in China! How did I not see this now I'm throwing them out 😖

  12. Thank you so very much💞. I plan to make dehydrated treats for my dog. Are apples and vegetables ok? Should I cook the veggies before dehydrating them? What about meat? Do I cook it first then dehydrate it? Thank you SO much for your videos especially this one. You have taught us all so much. I'm calling dog food companies now to find out who the manufacturer is and where the ingredients come from. You would not believe what I threw out yesterday and today. You have been so helpful, God bless you!💝🙋🌠🌷 Mary Lou 🌷 and Little Grace 🐕🌹💝

  13. Hi Dr. Jones and thank you so much🌸 If I make my own dog food what vitimens should I put in the food and what about ash etc. that is guaranteed on commercial dog food? I want to make her food but don't know what to put in for daily requirements, do you have instructions you could share? I just subscribed and thank you again. Mary Lou 🌷What is your advice about anything with glycerin in it?

  14. I like that you Super advanced and honest ..
You will think that all vets will have that approach ..
But sadly not , here in LA most of them don’t care to adduct people .
And so many pets pay with there life for that .
I make beef jerky for my dogs , Human grade .
It’s worth the little time that it take .
A brand of dog food that I like is the : Paul Newman , they use only organic vegetables and as much as I know not own by any big corporations .
Thanks for great informative videos .

  15. Doctor do you have a video for Cat urinary problems? My friends' kitty, Princess, has started urinating frequently and anywhere in the house. The vet has diagnosed her with a thyroid problem and gave her a thyroid medication to give her kitty, but nothing additional for the urinary problem. She has been weeks on the medication, has lost weight, and still has urinary problem. Thank you for your great videos. I don't have a pet, but I recommend them to others. Whatever information, or a reference to check will be received with gladness, thank you so much, abi in az

  16. I make all my dogs treats at home with human grade food. Also have a dehydrator to make jerky, sweet potato chews, etc. I have several recipe books specifically for dog and cat treats.

  17. I like to give my dogs a chew of an evening after their walk and relaxation time. A chew that will keep them busy for a while. Are there any you recommend? What about pig ears or bully sticks? I don't necessarily give mine the treats very often but do like them to ha ve a chew. It seems to help their boredom. Thanks.

  18. NEVER EVER buy your treats made in china, ONLY USA for my pooches,  Plus Hartz is NOT good, even flea collars or liquid flea is a no no.   I will sometimes buy chicken liver, & make cookies mixing it with healthy peanut butter,(no nuts) gizzards-boiled,   No raw hide!  Baked cow ears?  Yep, my dogs love 'em, I use those instead of those greasy pig ears.

  19. Just want to add that the 3 people who were sickened by the contaminated treats–it could very well be that they handled the treats without washing their hands afterwards. Always wash your hands after feeding your dog/cat treats. If they were to be contaminated, then they could certainly make you sick, as well as your pet.

  20. I make my own dog food , chicken livers and Turkey mince with 5percent fat ,then I freeze this mix cook it, and put organic crushed eggs shell that I've dried out crushed and she has herbs on it .if I feed raw food she has runny poo ,she can't eat rice or oats or wheat as she smells or yeast, she has infection in both ears , but I've cleared up one , which did not happen on antibiotics ,my vets very good he wanted to put her under just to clean her ears ,I also have a blood test to see , if she needs vaccination , could you please tell me if I'm doing the right thing with regards to her food ,her treats are banana or apple ,cucumber, carrot , thanks for all your vids.
