  1. Dr. Jones I have been watching all your videos. so informative and helpful. I have incorporated a holistic diet into my dogs daily meals. But I don't know what to do about a diagnosis of degenerative bone disease in my young 3 year old. Please advise me how to help her. thank you!

  2. Thanks for another GREAT video! I have a question for you: I've recently started the process of lifestyle and eating habits transformation in my life… that includes healthier foods and exercise and I am loving every step of this process. As the changes take place, I can't help it but wonder if I can completely eliminate the packaged food from my pets diet as well and add all natural and healthy foods instead, like vegetables and maybe even some fruits?? Maybe some dehydrated veggies such as kale, carrots, apples, etc…??? what is your take on this subject?

  3. Good Morning, Dr. Jones. You've hit this segment on the head. I suffer from TBI- Traumatic Brain Injury, PTSD, Severe Anxiety and Panic Disorder along with Depression and several other major illnesses since 2005. I've had my dog child (I refuse to call her a comfort animal) Lexi for the last 7 years this month. Since having Lexi in my life, my functioning level has somewhat increased my outside life and helped the pain level. As you know with depression (severe), levels can drop at any time especially during different times of the year or a loss in the family. Lexi has helped me to deal with both.
I do want to tell you about one thing I was to do with my depression level being so low. Look into Lexi's eyes. The oxytocin which connects between the person and your (my) fur child helps produce it at a much higher level. There is a BUT. Make sure your fur child is able to withstand you being able to look eye to eye. Some do not like to be looked eye to eye. I just thought I might throw that in there 🙂
    Healing thoughts and positive light.

And before I had "Dependecy Affective" and now with Scarlett, I got all the love I needed, and I can tell her every day "Your my love " kissing and huging her and she do not run away like most of men (little joke Doctor. .. lol)

And sence she was abandoned She come by her self demanding hugs and kisses.. .

She is 7 years old now, I adopted her when she was 1 years old and I love her more and more everydays.

And also we like to play like crazy or she is very happy when I teatch more tricks, cause she still Learn. .. And when I show how prise I am about her she is very happy.

Thank you for all your vidéos.

  7. I can't live without a pet in my life, simply because they are daily therapy. Sometimes, even before I realize I am feeling bad, the room I will notice that I have two dogs laying by my feet and cats jumping in my lap nudging me. They seem to go when I am starting to feel bad before I do and intervene.

  8. To anyone who has not a pet, they are lacking the greatest love in life. Dog's bring out the best in us. Words are not needed to find the way to a dog's heart, they feel what we are and what we need. They KNOW, it is we who have lost the way. Hey, Pippy! When I quit crying I would like to tell of the dogs I have rescued who saved peoples' lives…

  9. Thank you for this video Dr. Andrew. 1st… I've been worried about you. I'm so glad just to see you. You, and your family still have my prayers. 2nd… What you said about the therapeutic benefits of pets is so true. I felt totally lost when my pet past. I couldn't stand going to the house. Then, when I was in the house I couldn't stand to go out. After three months I was grieving myself sick. Went to the SPCA, and Ashy, an 8wk pup! Wow! Absolutely NO time to grieve! LOL Now She's 6yrs, what a comfort. I still think about my other pets now, and then. But with fond memories. My pet's keep me alive. Blessings💝

  10. Thank you for making this video. This knowledge that is not well known in my community. I fatigue from repeating the same thing over and over again. Now I can send links to your video and share on my social media. Thanks! 👍👍

  11. You are So Right! I became disabled 5 yrs ago at age of 49. I had a special needs mini blue merle aussie who was blind, had neurological damage, rescued from a back yard breeder. My vet suggested it would be best to put him down since he wouldn't be able to function or learn things like eating on his own, walking w/o assistance, potty training etc. I knew I wasn't going to give up on him, just as my family wasn't giving up on me. He only lived 3 years before he had a stroke, but he did learn to eat, to walk (only in circles, but he was so happy) It took a whole year but he was potty trained. All Gus wanted was to be loved. After Gus passed I had to have more surgeries and lost more use of my arms. I searched every rescue to find another baby. After being rejected repeatedly, I got a call about an older sheltie /husky mix. He had been returned to the rescue several times. I met him and knew we needed each other! He definitely isn't a dog for just anyone (he has a biting history ) but knows when I am having a bad /painful day. He doesn't leave my side. And just petting him Does help me deal with the pain. Sorry this is so long. I guess I have too much time on my hands when I am home all the time. Bless you and your family
