A CanCard doesn't mean smoking weed is 100% legal, it's just an indication to the police that you're smoking for medical reasons. Most police officers will be cool with this as long as you have a small amount. The only way to smoke weed 100% legally is to get a prescription from a private doctor (Check out Project Twenty21). If you get prescribed weed from a doctor, the police cannot take your weed from you. They would be breaking the law if they did.
