  1. This guy lost me when he took out the sunflower oil. Get up to date on your nutrition research!! Oils are terrible for the body. Beef tallow is a far better and more natural option. Dogs and humans thrive on FATS!

  2. Hi! I have already started making and feeding my puppy a homemade dog food along with her kibble. She loves it! I just wanted to know if I would need to add any other supplements for a puppy so I can make sure she’s getting what she needs. Thanks!

  3. Hi Dr. Jones, thanks for such a straight forward video. ..a healthy one too. Two add on questions: Do puppies need any additional nutrients to this recipe? And, what's the portion size to dog size. Thanks again. 😊 Frank

  4. I have fed species appropriate diet for 14 years, raw muscle meats, raw organ pieces, raw fat, raw veggie glob with pumkin with raw eggs to three large dogs. Very healthy, happy dogs. Mimic what they would eat if fending for themselves, wouldn't be processed crap out of a box or bag. Dry kibble is convenient for lazy humans.

  5. My dog loves carrots but, also apples, blue berries and of course peanut butter. Is there any thing besides chocolate that I shouldn’t let her eat? And is it okay to make her some food and pressure can it for later. Adding the extra topping once opened. Although my dogs will sit patiently while I cook for them, at times I don’t have the energy. That’s why I ask about pressure canning. Also how can I make a bone broth for them? How much food should a 10-12 pound dog eat in a day? Sorry for too many questions. I have bagged dog food on hand but, I’m always a bit grossed out by it.

  6. Do not feed kale to your dogs

Kale might be nutritious for humans, but keep it away from your dogs. Lots of pet owners have started feeding kale ribs to their dogs as a treat, but kale is high in calcium oxalate, which can cause health issues including kidney and bladder stones.

  7. Is the Farm and Fleet store brand dog cat food kibble ok (they have good protein content, corn not first ingredient)? I add Alpo/special kitty wet food and two fresh homecooked meals a week. But just curious if there's any reviews on it. I couldn't find any, but it is made in the Usa. I am low income and feed multiple strays as well as household pets. I do add my home kept hens' eggs. I save all my fat from cooking and also add it about twice a week to kibble. I occasionally add canned mackeral.
I like the ground flax idea, also inexpensive. Also I grow Kale. Thanks.

  8. PLEASE DO NOT FEED YOUR DOG EGGS, EGGSHELF, DOG TREATS WITH CHICKEN FLAVORS. NOTHING, IF YOUR PET GOT ALLERGIES TO CHICKEN, IT WILL MAKE YOUR PET SO SICK YOU DONT WANT TO KNOW. ALL THE YOU TUBERS GIVEN AWAY RECIPES TO PET OWNERS MUST HAVE A WARNING TO ALL PET OWNERS, PLEASE!!!!!

  9. Doctor Jones, I know you dont want to kill or made dogs in this world sick, but, there is a big no no in your recipe that almost killed my poor little dog. She got allergy to chicken, when I starter to feed your recipe to her she became violently ill due to the fact that if a dog got allergy to chicken they cannot eat eggs, egg shell, dog treats made of chicken flavor, or anything, absolutely anything related to chicken. PLEASE PUT A WARNING IN YOUR VIDEOS TO ALL DOGS OWNERS OUTTHERE. IF YOU DOG GOT ALLERGY TO CHICKEN DO NOT ADD EGGS, EGGSHELF TO THE RECIEP,F PLEASE.

  10. Please dont use sun flower oil its one of the oils that killing people. Coconut oil is good olive oil is good stay of every other processed oil on the shelves It was designed for the lubrication of mechanical machines.

  11. Thank you Dr. Jones, your videos have been really helpful, down to earth and easy to understand. I've wanted to make homemade dog food for years, but it just seemed too complex and I didn't want to mess up. Our 12 year old Jack Russell, Casper, just had his spleen removed last week due to a large tumour. Our vets haven't suggested anything as far as diet goes. We're still waiting for lab results, but I will definitely try your recipes to build up his immunity.

  12. Hi Dr Jones, i found a beef receipe on the net which calls for using hemp oil/hemp seed. If I use turkey breast/ostrich meat, should i use another kind of oil to replace it? If yes, is coconut oil a gd option? Many thanks.
