It's acrylic :).
no the Ryot box is not airtight. It is made of wood so it can keep humidity inside, but it will gradually leak so you have to re-hydrate periodically to keep the humidity stable inside. Some just keep a piece of carrot inside and change it every few days.

This is 3 X 5 inches. The one size larger 5 X 7 inches is also good, but i find the bigger humidors might be a bit too large. I have a large one and a small one, for convenience i see myself using the smaller one more often especially since they take less space on my desk when having a vape session 🙂
