  1. 0:45 yuca looked like cassava. Usually cassava can be eaten after boiled with some salty water to tender and dip in sugar or coconut shavings. Sometimes people coated it with curry powder and fried. No need to smash them.

This will extract a lot of the moisture and you can rub off the salt with a paper towel. So when you fry the next day, you wont have these crazy explosions that are caused by all the water.
