I also need some advice please as my vet just traumatises my dog. My furry friend has pain in his lower back and cannot get up on his couch. He also sometimes doesn't make it outside for a bowel movement. I have him on msm but he is still in pain. I am desperate for advice. He is 13 years old.
I just had a question for Dr.Jones about my dog Daisy. She has been on phenobarbital since December of 2021 for what we think are focal seizures. She is also on gabapentin and galiprant. She has been on gabapentin for a very long time and she switched to galiprant from carphrohen once she started the phenobarbital. I just got her CVC blood work panel done and her ALP is 869 and it was 53 back in December of 2021 right before she started the phenobarbital. Some other numbers that were bolded in her chart were chloride being 107, creatine kinase being 366 on a scale of 10-200, her platelets are 542 on a scale of 143-448 and were 266 back in 2021. Her total T4 is 1.1 on a scale of 1-4 and was 1.3 back in 2021. I need guidance on what to do. I want to get her off the phenobarbital because it is toxic to the liver and clearly is showing in the blood work. She was ‘fly biting’ which I searched on YouTube to find and that’s how we came to the diagnosis of focal seizures. I am not sure what I can put her on to control the fly biting that won’t cause toxic effects and won’t interact with what medicine she is already on. I have ordered pet CBD oil. I thought at one point she may even have Cushings but I’m not sure about that anymore. I am running out of money as a full time dental student and I don’t know what to do the vet doesn’t seem to be knowledgeable about the seizure medications. Any information will help greatly. Thank you .
Thank you for bringing this content. I'm a dog first aid and cpr instructor, and these skills save lives, not to mention that one will be able to act rather than stand helplessly by, panicking. When your response is calm and confident, you can think more clearly and make better, faster choices, which tend to produce a better outcome.
Been using your advice for yeast problems in my 4 month puppy, she was 7 weeks when we got her and jabbed to the hilt just the day before, she was sick and had red rust coloured around her eyes her ears were red and she was scratching. Immediately changed her diet which you suggested also added everything you said and I must say after 2 days of the cream you suggested her ears are no longer red. Her eyes are clean no more rusty tear stain and her scratching is significantly decreased. It’s taken awhile but I’m so happy she’s on the track to total recovery. THANKS TO YOU. THANK YOU SO MUCH ❤❤❤
I've just discovered your channel, it's been extremely helpful with my Yorkie and his trachia cough. I'm now spraying Bee propolis into his mouth and his cough has completely stopped. I started with Manuka Honey..now propolis. Thanks very much 🙏

You are very often referred to "as my guy on YouTube " to anyone who asks a pet related situation… (big respect for you.)

thank you thank you thank you sir!
the vet is never seeing me or my dog again… I'd rather put my dog down before exposing her to a butcher again!
Thanks for the peroxide tip. I learn something new everyday.
