1. the only time the curse works is when you never purchased or borrowed a white one but find one where yours should have been and use it anyway.

   also there are only 25 Bic lighters in existence. as soon as you put "yours" out of sight it is transported wherever it is needed. that's why it sometimes takes ages to find it only for it to be on the coffee table where you left it. for that span of time 25 people were holding onto their lighters.
