I moved to NJ from Kansas a few years ago and felt the same. It is harder to find good Mexican food here in NJ and NYC then in Kansas where Mexicans are more numerous. But I've found some and now I'll go check these out. they look delicious!

I live in NYC born/raised. I’ve tried burritos landia a couple times the other two not yet. But I’m sorry after visiting CDMX in 2019 for 5days that Place spoiled me and I have super high expections. NYC has a lot of great cuisines but tacos is just not one of them. I also won’t go out of my way to buy a $4-$5 taco. I rather book a flight ✈️ 🇲🇽…just talking about it makes me miss that place 😖 lolz. Now it’s too full of us gringos making stuff more expensive for the locals so I probably will just go to a lesser popularized city when I go back 😅

Waited on line at birria landia once got 3 tacos and comsome went home to see only 2 tacos so i went back to complain and they didnt believe me. I had my number so they went thru all the receipts to check and ended up giving me the 3rd taco. Not one apology fucking rude as fuck. Also $5-$6 for a taco is retarded af i just make them at home.
