Thai stick has a lovely sweet taste and the cannabinoid profile makes it quite hallucinogenic in large amounts. I've had some great nights on the Thai weed.

The thai stick I know from back in the day was dipped or had opium drizzled all over it that was the whole point of needing a stick I've seen videos of people finding there parents old Thai sticks and you can see the opiam still on it

It's not all about the THC though, I remember getting some tasty thai back in the day but most of it was just seed and stalk 😅
Delta 9 THC is only one of the constituents that go towards the high , 9% might not hit heavy but depending on the ratio with others like cbn and cbd could deliver a top tier buzz , maybe not as intense as others but perhaps more uplifting or getting you creative, high thc profile is just that 👍
