I just want to tell you that the ear mite remedy that I saw on your page got rid of all the dirt and ear mites from my Charlee’s ears, thank you again for the natural remedy Dr. Jones!! I am also going to keep using your flea and tick remedy as well!!
I drove from Chicago to Odessa, TX, to get a 7 yo Yorkie rescue from a sketchy shelter & took him straight to a groomer. She couldn't finish the groom because his jaw was "all jacked up" (her words). I drove to a friend's house 300 miles north to visit & took little Cowboy to her vet. His jaw was broken so they prescribed a double course of antibiotics. No way did the shelter vet not know this dog's jaw was broken! Crux of my story: I finally got back to Chicago (with Covid) & Cowboy finished his antibiotics. I then called my vet who had treated and also euthanized my previous pet, Gidget. On the phone I was very specific about Why I was bringing him in (broken jaw), What I wanted them to do (x-rays & pain meds), etc. Only a few months prior they had charged $200 for 2 radiographs. My bill this time was $531. AND they hadn't scheduled enough time for the xrays so I had to either go home & return 3 hours later, or wait in my car with Cowboy & get some work done. Had I not been on time for or canceled my appointment they would have charged me $100, yet they didn't even apologize and charged me a premium AND, THEY CAN'T EVEN HELP ME BECAUSE THEY DON'T EVEN DO ORAL SURGERY! I have filed complaints with the Illinois Board of Professional and Financial Regulation as well as the local Veterinary Medical Assn, whose board meets next the last Wed in July. I'm super tired of Veterinary practices that bully patients. Covid distancing allowed them to get away with this attitude (of basically 'Hand us your pet, leave, wait outside for our call to verify your credit card, and pay us whatever we decide to charge you before we bring Fluffy out to YOU!) and now it's becoming Standard Operating Procedure to take advantage of people who care enough for their pets to go to a vet in the first place. Apologies for the lengthy comment. Thank you Dr Anderson – you're one in millions!
Need suggestion to help my kitty with constipation. My vet.did blood work and x-rays. Declared her healthy and wanted her on Royal Canin prescription diet. I won’t give her that as it’s mostly crap. She is on Farmina ND GRAIN FREE, eats soft food and drinks enough. She is a picky eater. How could I help her have smoother poops! Seems in pain when has to go. Thank you .
I refused the “puppy plan’ which included a bunch of vaccines and a spay on an intensive schedule. When I went to pay for my ONE vaccine they had me signed up for the puppy plan. I had to be pushy. I chose that vet because they said on their website that they were holistic. They don’t use natural remedies, they push vacs. When I asked about the “holistic” aspect they said they had one practitioner that did a little chiropractic.
Yes, (I take my pets to a clinic) and they always seem to be pushing things that I have no interest in for my furbabies. I would like to find a vet that understands that my pets are all indoor animals and do not get exposed to any other animals. I am currently looking for a more understanding vet that care about my animals as much as I do.
I actually had my thyroid issue diagnosed by someone in a psychology class. She was planning to go into nursing. I had just been to my doctor who missed my diagnosis several times prior that year. Just because they’re doctors does not mean they have all the answers….and they should shut up and listen. Sometimes our investigations save our lives and our pets lives.
It is really so worrisome trying new vets as well. We originally went into the vet we have here because Gimli had a large rad and inflamed bump about the size of a baseball near his groin, they hardly even touched on that, and we’re more interested in the lumps under his chin and legs. They tested with a cytology test and we got the news a few days later that he had an aggressive form of lymphoma. They prescribed him a very high dose of prednisone and saw him come back to life. We started giving him one a day because he was literally peeing every second, maybe twice an hour and demanding food. He’s been on one a day for a month now and we have been giving him chlorophyll and fresh food and cod liver oil and turmeric and feel we should get him off of the prednisone. If anyone has any experience with this please let us know, they told us he will only have 3-6 months of life left if we didn’t do chemo but we are just against doing chemo since the lifespan after chemo wasn’t much longer than that anyway and he seems so healthy and normal now. We don’t want to get a biopsy because of the analysis they already gave us but they did tel us to see a cancer specialist. We are very holistic in nature and would love any input to give our baby the best life. We are devastated and heart broken but we are firm believers in holistic medicine.
Your "bully" vet was way too nice, lol. You forgot the detailed lecture about how horrible the disease are and how even if your dog is never exposed to them it is still likely they'll get them and suffer and horrendous death and it will be all your fault. Also even though vaccine side effects can happen they never will happen to your pet.
I hate how people who are concerned with pet vaccines are labeled as "anti-vaxxers" when it's not the same thing at all. I received vaccines and their boosters as a child, but I wasn't given another booster for everything every year for the rest of my life "just in case" like pets are subjected too.
They are out there – bully Vets, Doctors, Specialists and especially Dentists, i lost my last dog because of over vaccinating, the vet made me feel guilty for not vaccinating, at the time i didn't know about Titer tests etc, later as my dog was dying (STS) i did heaps of research and to this day i have a dislike for the above mentioned so called experts! It all comes down to money, pure and simple!!!!!!!
In addition to the issues here which are hard enough to deal with, in my area most of the vet offices do not allow owners to be present in the exam rooms at the time their pets are being examined and treated. This has happened because of Covid-19. It makes communication with the vet even harder as there has to be a phone call to the owner after the exam. It is hard enough as it is to have a conversation when some vets are in a hurry or not listening to your concerns. This is making vet visits and interactions so frustrating and sad. And it is not helping us humans and especially our loved pets. I wish things were different!!
Hello! I write you from Hungary/ Europe. i watch your channel since a while and found some great stuff in there. I have a question: my chinese crested dog has some bruises in his mouth. He was chewing on something but he has very few teeth, and his gum has painful bruises, it is not bleeding or thick but there are 2 bruises which are red and hurting him. What can i use to ease his pain? i know, wounds in mouth heal quick but it's so bad to see him being sad and in pain! Are there some NATURAL things i can use to heal better? On his bruise? Thanks for the answer!
For the last 2 years I’ve only given the 3 year rabies bc our state requires it. My Yorkie mix had the lepto vaccine and it set her skin on fire and she itches herself all the way home. That’s what changed my opinion on vaccines. Yes, they need full protection as puppies, after that, I DK, they don’t get boarded, not around other pets except at the groomer. My vet slipped the kennel cough vaccine on my cocker spaniel mix and wanted me to take her for the second vaccine, I refused bc she didn’t need it. 😕
I only get the rabies vax and first puppy shots. No more! My vets office is incompetent and I’m currently looking for another vet. Taking my dog into Cornell Animal hospital to see a dermatologist soon, my 3 yr old GSD has been itchy since late November and the vet wants to drug her with all this stuff. I’ve even sent photos of microscope slide samples from skin and they still cannot find what’s wrong with my dog
My veterinarian was actually very nice and if you expressed a concern she would work with you without question. The technicians though …. Total bullies.
I always stand up for my pets! Great advice, as always. 🌞

Hello can you make a video about feline panleukopenia, what signs to look at especially at kittens less than 3 months old. Thanks.

My Shih Tzu is 2 1/2 yrs. Does she need yearly boosters?

My vet is great but has a crush on my husband so I feel like he gets annoyed by me when I go lol. It doesn't bother me just take care of my dogs.
