You are the kind of chef I would enjoy working under. I’ve been working in kitchens for a few years & am tired of the old school male dominant misogynistic vibe. Love your energy 😇
Never understood US meatloaf. I would much rather make em smaller meatball shaped to get more browning. Despite the terrible colour grading, hers actually looks appealing to me. Almost all meatloaf's take "loaf" to heart and literally make it dry as bread. Her meatloaf look like the inside of a proper meatball, not dry at all.
I"m sorry, but the pate comment really bothers me. Comparing meatloaf to pate is like comparing scrambled eggs with hollandaise sauce. Sure they have similar ingredients, but the varying technique used to cook them makes them totally two different dishes. But i digress
This looks really delicious! It’s definitely going on my list of foods to make. I will have to slightly modify for my families dietary restrictions but I think it will still turn out really nicely. Thank you for sharing it. Your video quality and presentation makes it look easy to make. I appreciate that. I make cooking videos too. I’m so lucky to be able to learn from talented creators like you! I wish you much s successful year! ❤️💜💚♥️
I like the cheese as an addition but I don’t really think of it as a binder, or it’s not how I would justify its addition. As the cheese cooks the fat will separate out and help protect the meat from drying out. A restaurant I worked in would wrap the meatloaf in bacon when we did it for family meal and it sort of served the same purpose.
Easily the most trash looking meat loaf I've ever seen in my life. Where is Gordon Ramsey when you need him… Executive chef??? Cheese on the top of meatloaf??? Please stop lmao
This recipe is like a journey into authentic American cuisine born out of regular old American family ingredients and techniques – the hand mixer for the potatoes, the use of cheddar in the meatloaf, etc. The only thing that could have made it more "authentic" is using ketchup instead of the tomato sauce. I liked this.
Always cracks me up when people talk about their mom's cooking like that 😂. (Not in a bad way.) I remember this chick on Top Chef saying she grew up eating burnt fish sticks with canned green beans.
My mom was an amazing cook. She actually made fresh flour tortillas like three times a week 😋 OMG but she had this insane Spam dish that was like a Spam macaroni casserole. My dad would eat it dutifully but, Jesus Christ, it was HORRIBLE.
Y'all are too much. Even I can tell the way this was filmed and lit has washed the color out. Too yellowy. I think this would be more appetizing in person. I didn't try meatloaf until I was 16 having never grown up with it, and now it's a dish I enjoy making with whatever variations I feel like. I adapted my recipe from Stove Top Kisses, and now I wouldn't be averse to trying a meatloaf with cheese – just maybe a little less than this recipe. And meatloaf tastes better than it looks lol. No need to attack this woman's childhood.
I was expecting the recipe to be dubious based on the intro card, but it was based on some pretty solid technique. I've seen the same techniques in old meatball recipes. I think the only thing I'd do different is veg. I don't think I'd use a sheet pan, because it's an extra dish. I'd probably just do the veg a little earlier and let it cool in the pan.
Holy fuck new waifu
that is one of the worst looking meatloafs ive ever seen but i bet it tastes completely insane in a good way. amazing recipe thumbs up

Why does this meatloaf look vegan?
YOUR VAG ?
People are so rude. It looks delicious.
Grey meatloaf… just like mom used to make.
She cooks like Paula Dean, without the racism.
I would have liked to see it baked just on a pan, the outside crust of the meatloaf is the best part
The recipe is a bit high fat/dairy for my liking but she is lovely and I hope we get to see more of her.
This is why I don’t go to office potlucks
Delicious.
my kind of cook

babe you were way more attractive in videos from like two years ago. Fix your overly long frizzy hair and ditch the nose ring
RIP actual Meatloaf
If you want a nice exercise during this video, try to count the amount of sentences where she doesn't say the word 'like' 😉
Rest in peace meatloaf, don't forget to send me some barbecue while you're down there
How much weed do you think this woman smoked

Rip meatloaf
Louise from Bobs Burgers all grown up. No bunny ears
Put some respect on meatloaf’s name. RIP to the legend
Rest in peace Meatloaf ❤

She is precious!

Thanks for dressing for the occasion, Samantha! I always like my meat to be cooked by someone with their stomach out.
That looks hideous.. Sorry

I'm sure she's a great chef and this tastes good, but this looks gross.
Leaves jewelry on while mixing meat. She is a legend.
I’m in love 😍!

she seems cool but I hate how much she says "Veg"

Great episodes. Shes got some cool vibes
I think I learned more about her belly button than I did about meatloaf.
Meat cake. There, is that better? Actually meat loaf is a fine name. Terrine sounds classier though.
Those look like yellow onions, not white onions. How does a cooking professional not know this?
Her: There is no structure or order to your…
Me defeated: Life.
Her: meatloaf.
Me still defeated: …… I know what you meant.

What was your mom's worst dish?

🎶I would do anything for love
Thank you for showing this meatloaf.
