  1. 1991 I watched a cable music video channel that played things MTV would never play. That's where I first saw Nirvana & I thought these guys are about to go really big. A few months later they did. Even MTV started playing their videos. I also discovered Social Distortion on that channel.

  2. I was born in 1984 in Tacoma Washington I've lived here all my life I can remember listening to 107.7 the end and being 14 as I enjoyed the little bits of freedom I had snuck into life as a young teen living with her strict religious Christian mom and let me tell you it was amazingly fucking incredible and I wouldn't trade it for the world!

  3. Please tell me Marco fought against the End playing the ‘radio friendly’ version of NIN’s ‘FYLaA’ where they inserted that weird assed whip sound. I remember hearing that on the End in 90’s and being disgusted. In the clubs, our DJ’s ran with the original.

  4. Nirvana we’re ok, but they weren’t grunge. It’s annoying they get played up as the greatest grunge band. They were basically alternative punk. Alice In Chains and sound garden were legit grunge bands and better represented the grunge sound and era.

  5. Marco is the coolest; he helped my band Severna Park so so much, putting us on his KNDD show when no one else would and introduced us to Modest Mouse + Harvey Danger who became huge influences on us.
