I inherited a 400w hps from a friend and got a top shelf bulb for it. Kinda wish I had put the money into LEDs. Hps has great results but man the heat is my biggest issue working out of a small space. Lights and humidifier will be first upgrades to grow space.

hey folks! i used to grow some 15 years ago when lighting was VERY different, starting up again and was wondering… what kind of temp differences would i see from a 600w hps to the equiv coverage led??
and which one to choose dammit.. so many!! the temp thing is my main question though! winters are 38 and summer can be around 85 outdoors, hps were always a struggle so i am hoping the drop in heat output from an led would be ideal. hey maybe thats a good video idea, hps, mh, cdm led and cfl heat output?

I can’t wait to move beyond hps in my photo flower room. I have an 8×5 grow are, and look forward to purchasing the new viparspectra bar lights to upgrade. I have a couple of smaller vipars in my veg auto area. Like you say, they are versatile for that purpose. Love you guys

I'm currently doing my first indoor grow in a 4×4 under an HLG 550 R-spec.
Just bought 140 HLG Scorpion Diablos for a commercial 2teir vertical farm running 3 flower rooms with 1000 plants in each room. HLG has been a great company to work with and even handled the rebates with the Power provider.

I feel like what it really comes down to is what you can afford and what I mean by that is on the electric bill I can only afford about 225 draw so about 1600 equivalent.
Is there a light with UV-B built in? It's supposed to boost flowers. I might buy just a small bulb and set it on it's own timer to see what it does. Just wondering if there's a brand out there that already utilised it
I use chilLED Tech for veg and flower. I have a veg tent and a flower tent. They r amazing lights and I haven’t had any problems. I’ve had them for a yr now.
Do you like the pro series or the xs series better? I have a 2×4. I plan on getting two lights this week by viparspectra so I can adjust one side vs the other. I just don't know which model to get. Any input?
I use spiderfarmer sf1000 but have 3 of them as I grow in a insulated box in a dedicated room(my son now lives in the lounge). I also grow in an oblong shape so seedlings one end and flowering at other end. Perpetual grow.
Other people's opinions are just that; their opinion. You are honest in your videos and are also learning together with this community. You love growing weed without the ego. That is what I want. More videos would be good though.🤣

First grow here Nov 2021… didn't watch 1 video on YouTube before I walked into local grow store and told the guy i want to grow 4 big plants… lol .. he said get 3×3 Acinfinity tent with 4 inch fan ($199.99) with Next Light 420h ($399.99) so i wasn't sure if any was good looked on amazon for reviews about this NeXT light and none… only 1 review on their official site to… being all the prices local place had was cheaper than online figured screw it and i had plants at home waiting to transplant..
—-Didn't see a video of someone starting autos in water hydro (aerogarden thingy) then going to soil so figured i share my experience.
People say hydro grows 5x as fast as soil so i figured since im on a limited time with auto start the beginning there….
I started 4 autos in my wifes salad aero garden the hydroponic growing thing at bestbuy or walmart you see everywhere.. well in 28 days in water aero garden plants were 1.5ft tall and had to get em out… so i went from hydro in early stages ( i did use the aero garden food when starting seeds just like package says 1 capful) to 5 gallon buckets of foxfarm only.. didnt give plant any food until 2 weeks into flower only water PH to 6.3 – 6.7..
also when i went from water to soil plants were mad at me and turning little yellow at first super shock from going from aero garden 25w light to 200w and going from water to soil… lol
2 autos are 3ft high / 2 autos are 3.5ft high super bushy and thick too wish i could tell you what plants but buddy gave them to me mixed in bag but i thin GG auto

i had light at 200w (tested with watt meter) the first 2 months then i bumpped it to 400w in flower and about 12 inches away (I wish I could put light further but maxxxed out) and taller plants started yellowing so now im at about 300w and all seems good im at day 80 and they look great
let me know if you ever seen this nextlight ..so far from me no complaints also this light fits 3×3 tent almost from side to side ( also it says its 420watts that's another reason i bought it hahah) its actually uses about 460w max i can go in my situation is 330 tho (Also this light dimmer is stupid… at 25% on dimmer it uses only like 60 watts at 50 percent on dimmer only 100w and from 50 – 100 is like 100-450…lol one little slights movement takes you from 200- 430 watts you gotta be super precise.lol)

I run the se3000 spiderfarmer in a 3×3. I run perpetually and I’ve noticed planting once a month and rotating the pots in a circle works great. But in Va we’re only allowed 4 plants so it doesn’t get to out of hand.
