  1. “Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere. We’ve got to get the children connected to their parents”

  2. i aint see skelion, thyme or boil dumplin ,this isnt jamaican ,the thyme is a key as for the pepper u usually leave it uncut and we also boil the potato with the chicken to give the curry that thickness, as for cashew you wont get that in a jamaican curry, and if you are going to say classic curry there is no coconut milk either .good attempted tho

  3. I'm laughing at all of the individuals that are mad the Chef mentioned when she saw Rep. Waters give a speech.

The "keep politics out of this and stick to cooking!" comments they made are so predictable. Funny it doesn't apply when it's the other way around.

  4. Taking time out to do things right, know you’re interested that’s what I see what doing going step by step,so that ,keep everything, you can understand who keep the flavor color,so you can have a delicious meal.

  5. Ha! I was going to respond to comments. I’ll agree that this is not a classic Jamaican curry, but I’d fault the editors at Vice, NOT the chef represented here. I’d say most Jamaicans, including those in Jamaican restaurants are NOT toasting and grinding their own spices. But keep up the troll comments so the YT algorithm shows the video to more people, and hopefully helps Suzanne sell more books. I just bought one! If Munchies does decide to update the title, they’ll probably want to correct the misspelling in Suzanne’s name (two N’s)

  6. Regarding your comment in the video – and I speak for many, I'm a huge Trump fan, white with blue eyes – and hate more than anything identity politics and divisive Democratic politicians like Waters and many others.

I came across your video, love you, love your video, and will go to your restaurant if you were close enough.

I also saved this video as someone who loves to cook traditional cuisines.

So let's stop with the nonsense, the people that push for "diversity" try to gain political points – diversity is here for hundreds of years and thank God for that.

  7. Loved the video and will try the recipe.

Maxine Waters is a horrible person. But it reminds me that I can really like someone who has a different view politically than I do. And there are always things we have in common with others.

  8. I just knew Jamaicans were going to come under here and be angry😑😑. Curry is not authentic to Jamaica but it is infact authentic to India and countries with an Indian lineage ie Trinidad and Guyana etc. Real Curry is more than just pepper ah burn out yuh mouth.

  9. I don't get it, since when is curry chicken a Jamaican staple? I do wish people will stop ascribing all West Indian foods to Jamaicans. The curry chicken is a staple of Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana. Muchies please do your home work. What next roti and pelau are Jamaican too?

  10. Is it just me who misses the jamaican accent? She nuh sound real uzeet. Even as a white german dude I can tell this is no original jamaican Curry chicken. When keepin it real goes wrong. Nex time Uno waan fi see a jamaican granny fi cook di real deal seen

  11. Thank you Chef Barr for a wonderful (and timely) recipe with fall/winter in the air.
This reads to me as a first cousin of jerk chicken so I am down with everything. I love your method of piercing the Scotch bonnet even though I would happily dice it up. Truly an outstanding recipe that everywhere on this planet can tweak to make it their own without losing the spirit and history of this dish. Appreciate you and #Munchies for taking the time to share this with all of us.
