  1. The logic on this is flawed. Logic would indicate that holding the hit longer say up to 30 seconds would allow the air sacks to absorb more THC and CBDs. Why would holding your breath only make you absorb more bad things only? Doesn't the smoke also contain THC and CBDs? Yes they do…You don't get dizzy from the lack of air when you hold your breath (but this is not totally incorrect either). The hit also contains oxygen. The dizzy feeling is the rush of what is in your lungs going into your blood and then your brain. Almost instant high. Head Rush…
    It takes the average person 3-5 minutes to suffocate. Your not dizzy from the lack of oxygen for 30 second hit holds. I find as i get older that holding my breath does make me dizzier than it used to. I find that 15 second hit holds work good for me too, it just depends.
    Here is pretty scientific experiment you can do yourself and friends and see if holding your breath makes you higher:
    1)Your weed needs to be the exact amount in weight, weed strain and weed strength ect…
    2) Keep a record of what you did each time. Include how long the high lasted from the time you took the last inhale until you were totally not high (be honest). If you fall asleep, wait 4 hours and try again you failed! 🙂
    3) Start by smoking a measured amount (for each test) in a pipe. The pipe needs to be the same one for both tests. Use the same bowl and smoke the same for each hit. In this first test ,inhale and then exhale after a second. *Only hold the hit for a second. Repeat until you are high. Refill bowl as needed (same amount, type, strength). Make a note in your record. After you are no longer high, wait for 4 hours and move on the second test below.
    The second time except this time holding your breath for 30 seconds. If you cant hold your breath this long, then hold for 15 to 20 seconds, but be consistent with holding each hit taken.
    4) The tests can be switched around and repeated for added research. If you took short hits to start, then start by taking long ones.
    My results were that i got higher for longer by holding the hit 30 seconds. I also used less weed to get high.
    Note: You may want to either measure the weed for each hit OR put an amount of weed in the bowl where you know you are going to get enough hits to complete a high session. I cant stress this enough that you need to be consistent in order to see results that support my claim.

  2. Man, from experience I have to say, holding it in definately gets you more fucked. 100% I have regretted some bong hits that I held in. Screw the articles, just try it, you'll see 😉

  3. It feels like it does because the more you hold it in, the more you cough, and you feel like you took a huge hit. Still makes you feel higher because of placebo effect.
