  1. I had a dog in the 90s get taken. After that, I've been having house dogs regardless of how big the dog is. I also don't leave them outside by themselves. I recently had cameras installed to be able to monitor them while they were outside if I couldn't be with them.

  2. I agree with you 💯. I have always had ID in their collars. Plus all my dogs have been chipped since it came into being. But still it is not enough. My personal protection dogs would attack someone strange that tried to take them. But my rescue dogs that are special ie… deaf, blind, seizures would be helpless unless the were with the guard dogs. I feel so strongly about prison time. The furbabies are our family. We definitely need stricter laws.

  3. That is Karin and Catherine Adams. The mother and daughter team. They have been caught with stolen and abused animals. They got a slap on the hand. If you google "Karin and Catherine Adams dog thefts" the news stories will come up and if you go to images you can find their pictures. A very brazen pair.

  4. Dr. Jones, Could you please give me link to video about the supplement Arnica for stiff joint.  I can't seem to find it with so many videos.  I am thinking of taking my Lab off Glucosamine Chondroitine that she has been on for maintenance since a pup..  It doesn't seem like it helps now that she is getting a little older.  She gets stiff quite often and I don't like it.  But I don't remember what dosage you mentioned of the Arnica.

  5. Two people stole my son's dog from our front yard….my 19 year old was 25 feet away and COULD NOT CATCH HIM!!! IT HAPPENS! We begged for his return, "Jack" could tell when my son was going to have an epileptic episode. It's been 4 years and we STILL look for him. Don't think it can't happen to you!

  6. A friend of mine had her dog stolen, the people claimed they found the dog but ended up charging her almost three thousand dollars to give the dog back. They claimed the dog was theirs and were selling it because it was purebred, truth is the dog was stolen from the fenced in back yard. Legally my friend couldn't do anything and the dog was pregnant with puppies, get your dog microchipped, if the people refuse to return it you have legal grounds to have them arrested or at least prove that the dog was yours in the first place. Also make sure you have signs to warn people of the dogs on your property, that way if one of these people ends up being bitten while trying to steal the dog they cannot file for grievances.

  7. Unfortunately this has been going on for a long time now. I live close to Milwaukee and every week there are "lost dogs of Wisconsin " flyers on facebook where a dog has been snatched. A LOT of the time it's pitbulls or similar, they use them for BAIT for fighting. So NEVER leave your dog unattended when outside, even if they're in a fenced in area. And ALWAYS lock the doors when you leave your house, as some will be so bold as to break in to steal your dog. This is a very sad and dangerous world we live in.

  8. Big problem here in Tennessee, among other things concerning animals. Thankfully I have mutts and don't believe they are in this type of danger. But even still they are house dogs and have a fenced play area that is connected to our back deck. Hey, people steal babies….how much more dogs. Sick and demented society we live in these days.

  9. We have an epidemic of dog theft and dogs being poisoned by home invaders. Maybe you could give us advice on what we can do when dogs are poisoned. I know it needs to be treated asap. Its normally rat poison that they use.

  10. I'm with you, there needs to be stronger laws to have these heartless idiots to have conciquences. Also I wonder if a chip can be made for animals that a tracker can be placed inside them so we could track them with our phones to easier find them? Just a thought.

  11. Thanks Doc,😳this is awful. I would love for these dog thieves to try stealing my Dog they would be thieves with bloody broken limbs in horror .

Am so sorry for any one who has gotten their fur babies stolen.

  12. This started in our area more than 20 years ago. People would drive around in a minivan snatching popular breeds out of backyards, then force them to breed to sell the puppies. Lately it has been puppies being stolen from home break-ins or if the puppy was left alone in a car, (which is reprehensible in it of itself.) Small and toy breeds are the favorite targets of this recent crime wave. Also for those looking to buy or adopt a puppy….NEVER EVER BUY ONE ONLINE, IE; FACEBOOK, CRAIG'S LIST, ETC… These are dogs that are most likely stolen pets or the product of backyard breeders that often come with serious health problems. I will never understand why people keep doing this when there are so many other, safer and legal ways to acquire a pet.

  13. All this time my main concern and worry has been about wild animals getting my dogs (hawks, coyotes, ect), and now I have to worry about my own species doing this? I have two small maltese so I know I have to be their body guard 24/7!!! I never let them out of my sight and always watching for predators. It's funny they are considered "property" because I own a lot of property but none of it is as valuable to me as my dogs. If there was a house fire, they would be the only "property" I would risk my own life to save!!

  14. Wait and our beloved doc is exempt from above comment. I am sure that he would never do ANYTHING that would EVER jeopardize his or anyone else’s pet. Just circumstances and bad people influences our and our pets safety. How terrified he must have been when it came he was informed of dogs being abducted and sad that something as nice as a walk together to the store now hold potential dangers. Please keep us posted on any developments with these perpetrators.
