Here’s a real ghetto qualifier, your neighborhood ain’t ghetto if the pizza delivery will actually deliver in your neighborhood. Here’s another one, if gunshots/shootouts, beatings, & things of that nature aren’t a regular thing in your neighborhood then you don’t live in the real trenches.

    If the majority of students in your grade school don’t qualify for reduced/free meals, you don’t personally know and see some kids coming to school hungry and may not have eaten for a couple of days, school clothing is second hand or at best Payless Kmart type of stuff, then it’s not the real trenches my man. Nothing to glorify. Why people want to be from the hood (even to the point of portraying their neighborhood as such) perplexes me.
