  1. Thanks for the video. I was wondering why my cats been acting and looking like a junkie. I gave him sockeye salmon 3 days in a row and while he's looking better and begging less he's much less interested and eats slowly taking breaks. The regular cat food he gobbles up uncontrollably and throws up a few hours later. Working on helping balance his nervous system with food that has minerals like phos , mag, and lithium oritate. because he's prob deficient and has glutamine built up in the synapses. Our little friends can teach us a lot when when we look deeper and do our best to care for them.

  2. Tula is so sweet. I have had my dog addicted to Costco snacks. I will say in their defense though, our kitty, she ate nothing, nothing, but her Costco cat food kibble and lived to about 16 with NO vet visits. So hopefully thier own brand name is healthier than most of the other brands or maybe they are just smarter and dont put stuff all over it.

  3. I signed up months ago and didn't receive my free book. I've got my puppy now, one week in. We've done brilliant with crate training, his stools became sloppy, so I reduced the treats being given to him and started giving him home cooked food yesterday. Gave him some chicken and rice with a little pearl barley to settle his stomach. It has been an exciting first week for him in his new home.

  4. You are amazing 👏… so happy I'm back watching all your videos again plus belonging to your monthly subscription. I can't tell you how often I have referred your videos n recommendations to my patients with fur babies. You are truly unique n that's the beauty of it. Trying to master my files list in order for quick access. I applauded you Dr Jones (every time I say your name I think of Indiana Jones lol)😳

  5. I know the RC pet food people know some good chemicals they add to their food because my cats will only eat their food and not any other brand. I know it’s not because their food is better just their chemicals are. I do add raw meat to my cats diet just so they get some real food not just the canned dead food.

  6. Those guys who make processed food really do know what they’re doing. Sometime my dog won’t eat his homemade dinner, and this could be steak or pork chop or what ever meat lightly cooked with vegetables and apples warmed in either coconut oil or bone broth and he often won’t eat it until I stick a few pieces of dog jerky in the middle. And sometimes he’ll fish the jerky out and leave the rest behind. It’s great that there are more vets like you around and more people questioning what’s going into their dog and dog food. Unfortunately I let my guy have a junk food snack like a jerky or a snausage once in awhile when he was little and it must have been when I had my first ding dong or pop tart cause he nor I never forgot how tasty the crap was.

  7. Couple weeks ago I wanted adopt a puppy from a rescuer. She asked me what would I feed. I said I have been feeding to all my furkids real food cook by myself. She said I must feed kibble buy a good brand ensure furry get enough balance nutritions and protein. I asked : do you enjoy everyday every single meal always eat the same biscuits? I said to her I have over 15 years experience in giving foods to dogs I know Better what should feed and what shouldn't. I only believe when i cook to my dogs I know what I am feeding. I asked : Do you know what are ingredients in making commercials pet foods ? Have you seen how their make? My furkids now is 16 years old. I don't need you tell me to feed Kibbles! It sounds ridiculous dogs must eat Kibbles or dog foods. Come on, every dogs deserve to enjoy eat fresh real food to live a long life!

  8. Thanks so much for your wonderful advice….May I ask what I can give my 6month rescue male Kitten in Urinary food…he has just had kidney stones removed and is in hospital for the crystals to be passed out with urination…..The Vet has recommended an SD urinary crumble… My cat is refusing to eat it…..he had a very rough start and now is a bad eater..I noticed he has started drinking lots of water….Vet here insists on only Urinary crumbles for his diet…..I am "pulling my hair out" for alternatives to get him to eat…it's made it harder with his urinary problem. Your advice is so important to me..Thanks

  9. On e again, you shed great insights into the 'industry marketing' and use of chemicals that is ultimately harmful to our voiceless fur kids. Thank you. #knowledgeispower

  10. I really wish I could afford a raw food diet for my dog but I cant.
I bought some cans of pedigree dog food, I took out 1/2 a can an put the can in the fridge till a can repackage it. ..I got it out after 5 hours and I looked at it…I had a cover on it…I swear…it had octagon shaped glitter all over in it. Ya know that chunky glitter? I thru it out an never buying that again.
Recently I bought a 50lb bag(I have a LGD ) of purina high protein an my dog came down sooo sick.
She was covered with hives. I called my uncaring vet. I could have an appt 5 days away.
She quit eating, drinking and pooping she was winning a lot. The panting and pacing the floor was terrible I was up with her for 2 days.
So I gave her tramadol and benadryl. By the next day she she was doing better and by day 3 she quit panting and pacing. Her hives got better in places and worse in others.
I racked my brain..what did she eat…or what did she get into. Terrible thing. I really didn't want to lose her..those huge dogs have such a short life anyways. So day 4 she's finally eating some. She won't go near that dog food. So on day 5 I'll go buy a smaller bag of her usual and hope she'll go poop and start eating the kibble. I felt her stomach and intestines and can't find anything hard or different so maybe it that dog food.
Wh a treat do you all think?
    Anyone else experience that?

  11. The stove-top human food towards the end looks really great, and I've been feeding my dogs similarly (part raw) for decades, however, I was told by a Vet way back, that: "cooked fat(grease) from meat (especially hamburger & chicken) can put a dog in the hospital overnight, with pancreatitis"….Can you comment please Dr?

  12. Thank you for the good info again!!
I stopped feeding Acana dog kibble 3 months ago. I found feather often.
I feed 2 times a day: Chicken breast or Turkey breast+ vegi puree (broccoli, rainbow carrot, sweet potatoes), chopped cucumber
, one piece of banana for snack.
of course cleaning the teeth 2 times a day😁😁🐕🐕

  13. I had a border collie who I fed tinned fish and pasta, He would not eat tinned dog food, or bacon or any cooked meat. He was off his food and a noticed a swelling, I thought it was a dental problem, but no he had a brain tumour. The vet said he wouldn't eat those things as the nitrates in those foods smmade his pain worse.
