"Never been done" should read more like "hasnt been recorded before" lol I've done lavender and peppermint both wet and dry before. Mix the dry stuff in with extracts and the wet stuff with food and edibles lol cool to see it done with roses, and filmed too!

I've seen chefs make rose water for baklava before, but it was by a simple distillation – "simple" but more trouble than it seemed to be worth. I wonder if that would do the same? I bet it would be more concentrated than rose water, for sure. I've always wondered why a Nugsmasher owner who also grows their own herbs….like rosemary/thyme or mint – not "that herb" – couldn't do the same thing. I know people infuse olive oil with certain herbs and it would be much simpler to make mint sugar syrup with what was squished out of the plant. While you were making those things, you could also put in some decarboxylated resin into them if you wanted, huh?
