Vietnamese food is definitely my favorite food of all time. So many flavors in all the dishes. I wish more Viet restaurants had this philosophy to make pho with love and care. Most pho places here in CA are kinda trash and the broth taste like it was poured out of a can.
I love Munchies because we get to experience different cultures and hear their stories that inspired them. Also we get to learn the unique ways of foods and the different ways people cook them.Hearing these stories of the struggle and how it inspired them to start a new life d restaurant from scratch makes you want to support them more than the restaurants of people who was privileged or had money to start their business without knowing the real deep struggle. This made me cry I’m glad they didn’t leave their parents and go work for other people but instead invested in the family business
It’s funny to hear Vietnamese voices from around the world I’m from the US and hear British Kiwi Australian accents is interesting because when they speak Vietnamese it sounds normal
Love it! This is the reason why immigrants are the fabric of not only NZ but here in America too. My in laws were able to come here and thrive and add to the culture while living the American dream. Big ups to this family for being a great example of the New Zealand dream!
I work only 5 mins walk away from here and we eat here a lot, any work function we have is a spread of Banh Mi that always impress, this was soo cool to see this story and I will enjoy my next visit even more after seeing this for sure!
