So as someone whos has spent several years on a US navy warships, if shes working a 16 hour day, shes likely only working 3-4 days a week and the ship is in port. When we are at sea and the galley is open nearly 24/7 the cooks work in 8-12 hour shifts every day depending on how many cooks you have.
