imagine claiming you're apart of anonymous when the actual group of people who have been contributing to it chose the word "anonymous" because it signifies not having an identity. People actually apart of anonymous don't want their identity attached to what they do: whether it's an amazing action, or an awful one.
Also, Anonymous is not a verifiable, nor official group. There are genuine people in the more 'official' Anonymous who work towards fighting terrorism and other chaos-ensuing people and situations online, and then there are little kids who claim to be apart of anonymous who do dumb stuff. A real member would never come forward or openly admit to being part or member of anonymous. They hacked governments, police departments, major corporations among other things.
