  1. I am a bit of a purist in that I grow certain strains for those particular strains genetics. If you use citrus, you’ll pretty much permanently alter the aroma. You’ll also need to check it regularly and probably not exceed 24 hours as it’ll cause mold more quickly than you think.

  2. Cannabis should be kept between 58 and 63 relative humidity. Using a rehydrating stone is the safest way of rehydrating cannabis you can buy them online or in most headshops. If you want to buy a humidor don't buy one made for tobacco they are made of wood that will cause off flavors and are set to 68 relative humidity. BTW if your cannabis makes you cough the most likely cause is that its too dry. Don't use any peel or organic source for hydrating cannabis it's a formula for mold as they are full of spores.

  3. I think the most important thing to mention is while you may be able to rehydrate your buds. You will not however, be able to replace terpenes. Yes adding citrus will infuse it with a sudle pinch of flavor. But if you want good cannabinoids then your best bet is to not even start growing cannabis until you have first obtained a safe means of drying it. Trust me I like others before me made this mistake as a newbie and when you start growing. Well that's the biggest concern you have starting fresh and by the time those buds are getting close to the finish..then you dive deep into drying and curing without realizing just how deep the rabbit hole goes. Yes curing and drying is an art form…not really so long as you follow some very crucial steps. That is the slow dry and the best in the business now typically dry their buds for 3 full weeks as 60°F and 60% R/H humidity. The second part of this equation is the most vital. Keeping the humidity at a constant 60%. In order to do this you will need at least one or more optimally two digital humidifiers and a means if lowering the humidity at any moment. Which adding a vent fan in a closed environment works best. One that us tied to another digital humidity monitor. Because in the first 2 or 3 days your humidity will reach above 70% from just the buds themselves drying out in the beginning. Also you need only one very small fan placed on the floor blowing down and straight across the room hitting the wall. This very sudle air flow will keep the air moving but not rushing over the buds to quickly and drying some buds fast but not others. This is the best way to dry and cure because by keeping the cannabis buds in a closed environment of 60°F and 60%R/H. You are actually replicating the exact optimal conditions inside the jar for the first 3 weeks. However until curing or jarring your buds. Keeping them in a closed environment that you only open once a day to check the conditions of the buds at the same temperature and humidity range that they would be inside the jars. Each time you open the door or grow tent. Your venting it even if the vent fan doesn't kick on. Your slowing down the dry as much as humanly possible. Which will preserve all the Terps and all the tricomes will remain untouched and dried so slowly. That only the oils and sugars will be left inside and those vital terpenes as well. So after drying this way at 60°F and 60%R/H for a period of two weeks you can jar then indefinitely or for the next year or so. So with this in mind knowing if you do not do this prior to growing correctly then you can lose all those Terps even at a temp of 70°F with a humidity of only 35% for 5 hours and 4 days in you will quickly ruin all that many long months of hard work and patience as you see nothing but a white cloud of tricomes like dust in the wind if you do not control the drying conditions well. So do whatever you can and yes buy everything you will need to do this right please I beg you.
