  1. I asked my vet if I should give my cat fishoil and he said no, because he had/ has ocassionally symptoms of pancreasis. There are times where he has diarea. A year ago he had dicreased numbers in terms of pancreasis, but now at the moment it doesnt show in the bloodwork. What should I do?

  2. Thank you Dr. Jones, I have a 14 years old girl with early stage of kidney failure, she is a petite cat, I give her fluids every day, about 80 ml, I feed her with spoon when she doesn't eat enough and I use the fatty oil plus vitamine b. I bought the antiacid that you mentioned. What do you think of myrtazapine? I think I will get your supplement. Hugs from Italy!

  3. We put down our 6yo cat who just suddenly stopped eating, drinking, vomiting, and when we took her to the vet she was very anemic.
It was so rushed and I dont know what was the true cause…
I couldnt take anything in, and I struggle to hear people through masks… especially when already quietly spoken. Now im researching to try and learn what happened.
Its much easier to listen to this without feeling rushed in the vets.

  4. i give cat a few drops of apple cider vinegar

I cant pick her up hard belly pain

    without going to a vet
    no $ 🙁
    no $
    no vet

  5. I have looked through many comments and these products are said to help bring the blood values again in the right place:
    – Kidney Restore for cats and dogs Form Healthy Kidney Inc. from the producer Robert Galarowicz „Hope for healthier kidneys“
    – Pet Wellbeing Kidney Support
    – VetriScience Renal Essentials for cats
    – Recoactiv Nieren Tonicum
    – Also food based on insects is considered better than other diets because the proteins are of high quality and easier to digest, and at the same time there is less waste
    Maybe it can help someone!

  6. I buy the (human) dipstick test strips because my son has iga nephropathy. Can I use these to test my cat's urine? ALSO what's the best way, to get a testable-urine-sample from cats? I did recently buy 'Tinkle Tonic' but would like to test for the kidney issues, I'm assuming one cat may have. Wish their were naturopathic vets nearby but there are not. Paying for bad advice is worse than getting no advise at all! Interested in learning if ubiquinol and/or Brazilian green-bee-propolis are effective for cats kidney problems. Will definitely look thru Dr Jone's pet products now that I've listened to these videos. Thank you!

  7. My cat it's only two years old and is already suffering from CKD. Doesn't eat his renal food although he is taking Aranesp (shot of 0,1 ml per week against ahnemia) and a Potassium suplement. It's hard for him to get subcutaneous fluids, gets very angry against me or whoever is trying to put the needle in his back side of his neck.
    He is really weak.
Don't know what to do anymore 😔

  8. Dr. Jones, Thank you for these informative videos. My 15yr old cat was diagnosed with CKD 6 weeks ago. She was placed on HIll's prescription diet (canned) and Amlopidine for hypertension. Yesterday we had her f/u and her blood values have gotten worse! Her Phosphorus is within normal range but her calcium is elevated. BUN went down slightly, but Creatinine increased. Would it be in her best interest to use your feline supplement when calcium levels are already so high? Our Vet does not know anything about holistic measures and was initially hesitant to give the OK to use slippery elm for nausea. I want to implement holistic measures because I want to extend her life as long as possible. Kookie seems to be getting worse since eating the prescription diet and taking those pills. I'd appreciate any thoughts on this. Thank you.

  9. For those who are looking for low phosphorous wet food, check out "Weruva" website, "nutrition info", and you can find "dry matter basis" and what's right for your cats(prefer low Protein, phosphorous less than 0.7, and lower sodium)

  10. Why aren't you adding Methyl-sulfanyl-methane [aka MSM] to the CKD cat's drinking water at 1% since that lowers the BUN and creatine… and it doesn't seem wise to eliminate the phosphorous unless the supplement is assuming there's a decent amount of phosphorous in the rest of the diet… and withall that calcium, with its own hazards, i'd guess you have K2 in that supplement, eh? and a balance of A and D…

  11. I have an 18 months old male cat who lately seems to be more thirsty than usual and also urinate a lot with huge clumps in the litter box.
Is he too young to be suffering from kidney disease? He otherwise appears to be healthy and playful.

  12. My cat Apple refuses can foods he only eats dry Wysung, which I don’t like because it also has brown rice there. I’m trying to find a way for him to eat cans, but it’s hard. I give him your supplement by syringe it. We have to wait to get his cbc, done it will availiable on his program wellness in June. If extra monies come I will get it done. I know cans would help, but Apple against it! Maybe it’s his hyperthyroidism meds, he used to eat it before he took it.

  13. I’m going through cancer treatment again. My cat has signs of kidney issues. He’s 17. I love him dearly and will follow all your advice including your supplements. My one question is which type of sub q fluids do you give? I have access to the type they give me at my infusions to flush my port. You’re an angel for posting these helpful and very informative videos. Thank you.

  14. are well-documented toxic effects of aluminum hydroxide. Patients should be asked about any kidney issues before aluminum hydroxide administration, as these outcomes have strong correlations with aluminum hydroxide's use as a phosphate binder in patients on dialysis."; and "The . If too high of a dose is used, a low blood phosphate level can occur. Rarely, aluminum toxicity can occur with its long-term use, and may cause signs such as weakness, walking difficulty, or stumbling."  MY QUESTION FOR THE DOCTOR IS:  Is your particular recommended dose safe for cats with mega-colon + kidney disease? and if so, WHY?
