  1. this is the correct way to make gado-gado, i came here after watched jamie olive cook gado-gado with wrong way
and also always use fried peanuts to make all kind of peanut sauce in indonesian food. like batagor, gado-gado, pecel etc.

  2. Nice job Chef…👍.
Seemingly, you make a typical Betawi Gado-Gado. If Gado-Gado Surabaya usually has coconut milk in the peanut sauce. It gives a different taste in the sauce.

  3. jogja style gado-gado : you should cooked the peanut sauce with coconut milk, so its different with lotek/pecel sauce.. which is raw like you have made as sauce in this video

  4. I'm Indonesian, and here's the trick:
If you eat gado-gado with prawn crackers (kerupuk udang), just use a slice of crackers instead of spoon. So, you'll put those chopped veggies on top of your cracker and bring into you mouth. I know, you'll have to open your mouth widely, but it's so recklessly satisfying. Try it, and thank me later.👍

  5. You can replace peanuts with almonds or cashew nuts. I do it all the time when I can't find fresh peanuts. If I may suggest, don't use plain water to mix your peanut paste, but mix it a bit with a piece of tamarind or a tea spoon of lime juice.
