All you Americans in the comment section have the WORST AND I MEAN WORST TASTE BUDS. Stop Americanizing foreign foods. I'm actually Korean and this is some straight up hipster "Portlandia dumbshit". Way and I mean waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many veggies. And why the hell is it watery. Bro turn your Korean card in.
Love it 😀… I've been saving Cold Noodle recipes lately for summer… its Ike my new favorite thing now since discovering cold soy bean noodles last year.. soo amazing.. neangmeons are this years favorites.. and soo many.. im so excited to be learning new Korean/ Asian dishes… been into it for several years now. Thank you for sharing your recipe.. 😘👌 delish.
This was a really great episode! Loved the knowledge sharing on the Korean ingredients plus alternate suggestions and portions. Not to mention the reality of living with kids 😂 they are cute, and this was a sweet episode overall.
omg!!! you guys are the cutest family ever!! such good vibes from the video and your kids made me laugh!! the noodles look amaaaaaazing keep up the good work 🙂
I'm Korean and this was garbage. Where to begin that kimchi was watery as fuck. Superfluous ingredients for the sauce. Too many veggies. Kimchi googsoo is supposed to be simple. You need kmichi, white rice noodles, sesame oil, vinegar of choice and gochugang paste. That's it!!!!! This hipster ruined the dish!!!!
First male admiting to cook by bowl rounds and feeling the amout. Great. Thats how to cook at home .take what one is having and invent substitutes for what is not at hand. Love it
This was the whitest bibimguksu I've ever seen. Shame on the guy for using Japanese nori when he had a bag of korean seaweed on the table. Add a boiled egg next time. But I guess Portland is pretty darn white.
Yay Portland! Lol I appreciate the chaotic kitchen. THANK YOU for explaining about flexibility in the ingredients and amounts. Vinaigrettes are fun to experiment with.
I thought high fructose corn syrup was only available commercially? I bet what you have is closer to regular corn syrup which isn’t bad if used in small amounts
Ah!! His kimchi containers tells me it's genuin and it will taste good
"No I'm not giving you the recipe."….. nobody asked 🙄

It's oligosaccharides from apples btw. Had to Google the difference.
I get that we add ingredients until our ancestors say enough and this goes for so many cultures but how is any one suppose to follow along…
This content is very nice and pure… they are so happy.
I had this a million times. Never seen it made this way 😬
I’m about to start teaching in 1 minute. This was a perfect way to start the school week.

My mandolin cutter has cut me twice and I have only used it once. Fucking dangerously sharp!
Cut that hair dude and take off the gay earrings. That's probably why your mom wont give you the recipe.
This is a white taste palet of a dish that is dear to me. This hipster ruined it.

the war on hfcs needs to stop. its a fantastic hygroscopic sweetener. stop drinkin soda and reduce your total sugar intake if it is a problem for you.

No matter what, Kimchi is stored in those burgundy containers.
One of the best dining experiences in PDX, if you know you know.
Be more specific
Have you ever heard the Qur’an the word of God ???https://youtu.be/dgiUnb76rpk
‘My Cabbages!’
But the kimchi recipe is kinda key here.. ☹️

He's like the Korean Wylie Dufresne
Seeing the cook gives me stomach problems👍🥣😋

A lot of faffing about just to make a peasant dish of spaghetti with pickled cabbage salad

My Kimchi looks better than your Moms.
Best episode yet! 👊🏽👊🏽
One doesn't own emotion, and when one is owned by emotion, it's a reflection of one's belief that one owns them✌️
