  1. I love it.especially for older cat,if only scaling needed , vet dentistry is great option.
Last time I drop my cat to the vet for dental,Just scaling needed,,no extraction, he is adult cat, I get immediate phone call as my cat went to coma.i was crying out loud. Then I look for alternative and I found a non veterinary dentist.thank you

  2. 1. In the US u can be a non vet dentist for a horse. 2. I've used them more than once. 3. I only used one that didn't use sedation and my horse flew all over the stall the whole time and freaked tf out bad and I never allowed someone to do it without sedation again. 4. My best experiences were always with my horses under sedation and I am good if the vet does it or checks the work of the non vet dentist, the my vet has always approved of the work of the non vet dentists if I used them used so far.

As for dogs and cats. I hope that is a law a vet needs to do that though. And who's to say an animal isn't afraid? They can't speak… Animals r good at showing no fear or pain… When they r in fear and pain. Anyway, a vet can be regulated to assure standards r met. The dude down the street can't and even in the horse world, it can be a risk to not use a vet dentist who was specifically educated in teeth floating and that can asses and treat any mouth infections at the same time if they happen to see one. A non vet dentist may not recognize that and will Def not be able to treat it.

  3. Totally agree AND well to care for my vet they can just take me to jail. I am serious BTW….I am not going to follow a law that hurts myself Nd my loved ones including my sweetest pets

  4. I absolutely had the BESTexperience with non sensitive dentistry through a pet store. My dog was 16 years old and I didn't trust him to go under anesthesia. He was so happy , His teeth looked amazing and Great experience. That was a few years ago recently I tried to reboot for another dog and they don't do it anymore in my town.

  5. As long as someone is kind, has the animal's best interests in mind, and they have knowledge of how to do this…well I see nothing wrong. Many times I think some (lazy) docs just want to get the job done and that could hurt the little friend.so they put them.out. and then who knows what they do? But, the pet may be more uncomfortable after.

  6. Well, I'm always wanting to get to the root cause. So why is there plaque and tartar?
Wolves, coyotes and wild dogs don't go to the animal dentist. 😂
Raw food diet is best. Have you ever seen a dog with a frying pan?
You can get a meat grinder attachment for your KitchenAid or a hand crank one if you have an animal that is already missing teeth. I have used hydrogen peroxide 3% diluted 1:1 with water to remove plaque. It doesn't have a taste just a little foaming and helps with bleeding gums too.

  7. I just bought $100.00 ear drops ,I truly can’t afford a dentist fee on pension, struggle just to eat a healthy meal everyday.I do use your remedies for my dogs and they work. Thank you

  8. I have used both for my horses & actually had good results. From what I understand, the non veterinarian dentist spends more time studying actual dentistry than the vets spend studying that in college.

  9. If it's illegal to take care of you pet's teeth then lots if groomers and breeders are in big trouble. My dogs' breeder showed me how to keep their teeth clean by scaling them. One of his dogs is #1 in the nation of that breed for a second consecutive dog show year. He must be doing something right.
